Your medical not expired yet, but will be expired by the time you get your visa issued, (after PPR and submission of passport from your end). They want to give you enough validity visa (about a year) so that you have time to give landing.

I agree with bonty, if the intent is to leave for good, best do it formally.

I know for Saudi, when fathers renew their iqama, they have to send iqamas for all family members under his sponsorship for them to be renewed. It is a complicated scenario if one member is not in country.
Hey can u guide me on exactly what they inquired from u i.e Principal applicant on arrival in canada at airport?like did they inquire u about the final exit or something?

Nothing at all, once you are issued visa, you are good to land. I sponsored my family, and they were not asked any questions about cancellation or exit either for the applicant or the sponsor.

Immigration @ Canadian Airports would not ask for final exit paper or whatever since CIC would ONLY issue a COPR & Visa once they ensure that you'd submitted resignation and final exit Document alongwith your PP.

in our case they asked for the sponor's visa cancellation not the applicant's. letting visa expire on its own is not a good idea if you intent to return to UAE at any point of time. Further it may create problems for the Sponor of your UAE visa in the future.

Thank you for the advise bonty - it makes sense. Lets see what they say.

Its correct - for us we a small complication as my wife may not be in the country, when and if they request for visa cancelation .

Wishing you good luck, brother. Hope this gets resolved without any complications.

Hello Muhammad Azaan, we understand the frustration and emotional torment. But like the members here mentioned, the re medical is a clear sign that your process is almost complete and they would want to give you enough time for your entry to Canada, so that you can wrap things up. Our Medicals expired end of September, not sure if they will ask us again for a re-medical.

Regardless we all have to endure with patience and sooner or later all will be done and we shall be with our families. Hang in there buddy.

Yeh we are hoping so too brother - as things are just dragged from all different directions, but Insha'Allah all should be well.
