I read it over and over again as well, it is indeed just a PPR.

We didn't do anything special or extra, but my wife was extremely careful in filling out the application and making sure all the documents were inline. All credit goes to her for her hardwork.

Sorry guys, just been away from everything and super tied up with errands that I had to run as we got a bit of an update but couldn't come online as been busy as hell..

Before the update, just want to congratulate all those others who got passport requests and/or visa stamps since then! You guys have been waiting for a while and its awesome to see ADVO finally working! Good to see the updates coming in..

Update is this..

October 14th 2014, my wife got a passport request from ADVO along with a request asking her for passport size photographs...

October 15th 2014, my wife dropped her passport off at ADVO along with the photographs and the Aramex envelope..

Today, October 27th, she just received the passport back with the PR Visa attached in it..
She also received in that package, the photos we had sent as proof etc...

So would appreciate if Jen Pin can update the spreadsheet whenever she gets time...

I apologize for spamming the forum but I wanted to get back to everyone that wished me.

I went to drop off my passport at Aramex Jeddah and they outright refused to take my package. They said something about a contract expiring and that they won't be sending any documents (especially passports) to the embassy in Abu Dhabi.

I went to DHL right after but they didn't have any reservations about sending my passport but said that they could not include a return AWB. Saying it would be generated at Abu Dhabi and the passport will make it back to DHL Jeddah. Once it does, they'll reach me over the phone to collect it.

I have been using DHL for quite some time and I know this particular staff member has been working there for a long time now, I had no reason to doubt him so I sent out my passport.

I still can't get over how Aramex would simply not take my documents. Anyhow, I sent out any emIl to Abu Dhabi explaining the same, so I hope everything remains in order.

Not exactly, but you kind of assume it is the best option after reading the PPR.

Following is an extract:

Send your passport(s) along with the required documents listed on Page 4 by courier to the following address:
Immigration Section Embassy of Canada
10th Floor, West Tower Abu Dhabi Trade Towers P.O. Box 6970
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
NOTE: You must include a fully completed Aramex airway bill or a self-addressed C4 or C5 envelope. These must include your complete name, physical address (no PO Box), and phone number (country code + area code + phone number) If you do not write your address CLEARLY on your return airway bill, your passport(s) may be lost in transit.
Your passport(s) will be returned to you by Aramex courier at your expense.
Your application will be finalized within 10 working days from the date your passport(s) is received in our office and it will be returned to you by courier. Please allow an additional 1-3 days for the return of your passport(s).

That's strange! I didn't have any problem at the Aramex counter in Dubai. The guy at the counter said that they get many passports to be sent to the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

I was pretty surprised myself. It could be an issue with Aramex Saudi Arabia only.
