It has been almost three months since they transfer my husband application to Abu Dabi office and we got nothing from them since then. He did the medical exam two months ago and our status haven't change no email and nothing from them so worried about it. It was processing much fast in mississuga office but we haven't got anything please let me know is that normal to slow the process. I will finish six months till 14 of this month

They will take time to check criminal records and all wait for a while more if not heard any thing, just ask your husband to contact ADVO

hey guys i arrived in Montreal June 30th, took like 20 minutes with immigration everything is pretty straight forward they ask a few questions regarding goods to follow. It feels good to be in Canada. hope everyone will get their ppr soon.

Hi chilkootcee. I scan different related forums every once in a while, and have found some useful information. I've also viewed some other timeline spreadsheets.. In my opinion I find ours(ADVO) more prudent to our situation, since there's some commonality within the same VO, for example it's not common to get AOR2 for ADVO, for other VOs it is a common practise. Processing times is a big one as well, some VO typically take a few months.. Thanks for the suggestion and good luck.

You are definitely right for the processes after Stage 1 is complete.....but until one reaches Stage 2 I think the annual spreadsheets are better because you can gauge where CIC is at in Mississauga....there are also some good statistical functions on that spreadsheet that only get better as the sample size increases...

I really appreciate the support and all your hard work in the ADVO group though....I'm just hoping our application goes to Abu Dhabi and not Amman.

I checked the status and it says they received my application on 9th march 2015 (day when we sent to application to CIC M) and medical results received.

AOR from ADVO is not a given. Some people get it, some people do not. I got my SA around mid April and I didn't get an AOR either. Keep us posted. Good luck.

Received AOR today via email al hamdulillah. Now the real waiting game begins. I pray for SA and for my husband's application to be sent to Abu Dhabi....I don't know if there are any others waiting for Stage 1 AOR....but will pray for speedy responses from CIC.

Congrtaz!!! I judge on spreadsheets most of the cases SA receive after 30 days of AOR. InshaAllah hope for the best. I am also praying our application to be sent in ADVO

chilkootcee, that's good news. I know how you feel, every step is a milestone in this looong journey. Hang in there, Insha'Allah this process for you and all of us will be done in a "timely" fashion. I've seen/heard of cases being completed within several months. Not saying we should all count on that, however, as hard as it is, it's good to be optimistic. Good luck.

My husband is also a Pak citizen residing in Dubai and I will be sponsoring him. I am in process of filling in the forms and getting all the docs ready. i would appreciate your help.

Please see below link you have to fill sponsorship forms and your husband have to fill immigration forms.
and sent to you.. You will submit all package along with all forms and relationship proofs to CIC Mississauga.

Hey all. I was reading thru some of the other forums and found a thread discussing refusal of visa vs refusal of admission to Canada. According to the thread, if you were refused a visa, this is also technically refusal of admission to Canada.

Last year we tried getting a visit visa after we were married but we weren't successful. This was indicated on our forms under the question refusal of visa....but we said "no" to refusal of admission because at the time we thought this meant one who is refused entry upon arrival at a port of entry.

Anyone in the same situation where you answered yes to refusal of visa and no to refusal of admission? Did you have any problems? I guess I could write a letter and change our answer to refusal of admission....I don't want them to think we are trying to withhold info...but the thread also mentioned that it can cause a problem in the system (red flag).
