Hi, I am a Canadian citizen and my husbands application has been in process since October 2013. My husband lives in Riyadh and they apparently requested his Passport in April 2014. Nor my husband or I received an email about them wanting his passport. They requested it again at the beginning of august 2014. We immediately sent the passport as well as pics, and they also requested proof I was still residing I Canada and I sent my filed tax return for 2013. They have had the passport since August 10th. It is now as you know September 23rd, and we haven't heard anything. Check online daily and we are now getting anxious. My husbands parents live in Jordan and needs his passport because he travels back and forth to visit them. I just want an idea of maybe how long they can have his passport for. It just sucks waiting not being able to do or know anything at all or even a time line.

Nope.. We've had 0 communication from Abu Dhabi since we got our sponsorship approval from Stage 1..

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

I'm Don (filipino) and I'm currently living in Saudi Arabia. I have submitted all my necessary documents for my application (under the sponsorship program of live-in caregiver) last March 2014 and is on process at Abu Dhabi-UAE. After 5 months, my principle sponsor (my wife) who is currently living in Canada decided to follow up the application. Today September 23,2014 she received an email from Case Processing Center - Vergeville and the email attachment are this;

1. This letter is in reference to your application for permanent residence under the Live-in Caregiver Class.
In order to improve service and offer more efficient processing, most applications from both Live-in
Caregivers and their dependants who were processed by Manila will now be processed in Canada.

We have assessed the information you provided regarding your application for permanent residence.
For your application to be processed further, we require you to submit additional information regarding
your family members who live in the Philippines. Please refer to the guide for the definition of family member.
This information will be added to your existing application at the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville, Alberta.

We have attached a Checklist of Documents for Dependants of Live-In Caregivers to this letter. This checklist
outlines all the forms and documents you must gather, submit and sign on behalf of your family members.
Failure to provide these forms and documents may result in the refusal of your application.

Only complete applications, consisting of all forms and documents on the checklist, will be considered for processing.

When you are submitting the required forms and documents for your dependants, please include a copy of this letter and
the completed checklist.

The forms and documents for your dependants must be submitted within 90 days of the date of
this letter (see date above) to:

If you are unable to submit all of the requested documents you must inform us within 90 days

2. The attachment also includes Medical Examination Instructions and my MEDICAL REPORT CLIENT BIODATA AND SUMMARY (IMM1017).

I've read the attachment and I was confused because I need to apply pass again the required documents such as Police Clearances (3 countries-Saudi,Taiwan & Philippines) etc. These things driving me crazy right now because I'm worried about the processing time of these documents.

My question is:IT IS POSSIBLE TO PULL OUT MY DOCUMENTS FROM ABU DHABI and send it to Canada? Can you please give me some advise?

I referred to document checklist and it says " sponsored person and each family member" that is pretty clear to me now. but the confusing part is that when I fill in the form for myself do I leave the "Applicant" section blank and fill in rest with mine and my family information. Because if I still write applicant name as my wife's and rest with my family information how would they know the difference in sponsor family information and sponsored family information.

You are the sponsor and your wife is the principal applicant. You dont need to fill up the additional family information form. Only your wife (the applicant) has to fill up the form

I need someone to help me out with my Spousal Sponsorship. My husband is a Pakistani citizen and residing in Riyadh. His visa office is Abu Dhabi. Now i have no idea what forms to be filled that are included in the Instruction Guide for Middle East. We arr aoplying Outland. Based on his current residence, please help me decode which forms to fill.

For the Country Specific forms, you would need to fill in the Residency Questionnaire, Residency Questionnaire FC-3 (if you are sponsoring a child) and the Supplementary Information Form.

Those are the two forms indeed for Abu Dhabi - I was told by a lawyer that it is not required at this point in time, and wil be required at a later stage - lets see how it goes .

Believe a few of the members here are in the same boat - hopefully one of the members can shed some light. Does it mention in PPR how many days it takes and is there a contact number for information ?

Hello Don R. - In lieu of your case and given the circumstances, the possibility of you able to retrieve your important documents from Abu Dhabi is slim ( as from what I hear from members in a similar case ) by the time you are able to establish correspondence with ADVO and gain some momentum - you are better off re-ordering your police certs and etc required by Canada.

Do keep in mind the timeline they have give you to send in your documents. Have you tried contacting the Canadian VO and get some clarification ?
