Hello ASBA , have you applied for any notes for your case ?

Hey Impresso, we were about to but then we decided to wait because no one else has had an update. When someone is significantly updated we will apply for them.

How long does it usually take to get the result of the sponsor assessment?

thanks

Hello j3poy - welcome to the Forum. Is your visa office Abu Dhabi ?

As per the time line on this given forum, members who Applied in Dec 2013, got their Sponsorship Approval within 40 Days. You can also check this spread sheet on the link given below

I am actually astonished that it is taking this long even after requesting for ADR - Usually what I have seen from the previous timeline it is about 3-4 Months to see " In Progress" update on ECAS. I am guessing things have slowed down a little.

Hopefully we all get to hear from ADVO soon .. God Willing !

Hi ZZW,

I am not sure what impact the answer to this question shall have. I answered that I would cancel my Gulf residence visa in August 2014 as I assumed the average processing time to be 8 months however I havent heard from ADVO since April 2014 that is when I submitted the additional documents requested. You should be roughly having an idea as to when you want to move to Canada and I guess you could mention that.

I hope others may reply to your query to give you a clear picture.

The questions seems like a double edge sword - If you answer 'No', you will have to state your intentions and provide supporting documents, Basically trying to convince and state your intention on residing in Canada. If you answer 'Yes' it just gives them an estimation but it puts your plans of visiting your folks at a pause.

I would honestly go with Yes and give them an estimate date when you decide to cancel. By all means you should still be able to visit them once you have your PR card in hand.

Hello llij21 ,

I checked ECAS on Friday and had no update - I just checked it right now and it says " Medical results have been received " :o

Guess our medicals were updated on the 23 August ;D - which means ADVO is not completely Asleep !!

Isn't your's and JenPin's Medical Already updated on ECAS ? Why would you have to do them again ? Hang in there you should hear back from them in the next month or so.
