that's great! phone call is what i prefer too... emails are bloody damn useless... well at least for me so far... i just emailed them today explaining my situation and asking for a confirmation of the things me and my wife found out from the CAIPS notes... i have a feeling they will just luk at it and ignore... anyhow... gonna try calling the MP soon... all i wanna ensure is if my visa thingy is issued or not.. what i fear the worst is that they might have issued it and i passing the deadline and me having to re-apply... cause what i recently learned is that once they issue the visa and it gets too delayed, there is no other way to re-issue it... u have to apply again and pay the fee and do the wait-game all over again.. my worst nightmare... dun want that to happen..

Its bad but I hope it will not happened.did u email them every month.try it email them every month and if they really need they will send it twice.before we send documents to them they send us 2 emails asking documents.

Well I just got an update on 10th march that my medical results have been received. I am awaiting an AOR/ADR from ADVO now. Just hope they send it through sooner.

2 people on the spreadsheet have received PP request in February however there are no updates from them since then! :o

Hi, I have a question. First a bit of background about my application. My wife (Canadian Citizen) is sponsoring me for PR. We applied through the Abu Dhabi office in October 2013. I got Request for Documents and Medical on January 13 2014. No updates since then except for 'Medical results have been received' in ECAS. She is living in UAE with me.

Now for the question. We found out she is pregnant. Baby is due in October. She will be going back to Canada to have the baby. Now I need to know if I have to inform CIC about the pregnancy or not? If yes how? From what I understood from reading the AOR from ADVO is that if the principal applicant is pregnant then CIC needs to be informed. In my case I believe I am the principal applicant not my wife who s the sponsor or am I wrong?

If you are BEING sponsored by your wife then you're the principal applicant and your wife is the sponsor...

Nothing Just send your wife to Canada give birth and If baby was born in Canada the Passport can be process in 1- 15 days for new born baby but if baby was born outside Canada it takes 2 years to verify that the baby was born to Canadian Citizen (however you get Temporary Passport for Baby to travel).
Their are other choices as well but that can be done only after birth of the baby i.e. after birth to add baby as you dependent then CIC will go through application again.
However best option is to go to Canada and give Birth Once baby is Born and birth documents are enough for your status updates.

Hope this helps

Thanks ripple and asim. So just to confirm i dont need to inform CIC about the pregnancy as of now correct? The plan is she will go to Canada in the next couple of months have the baby and stay there. I cancelled her resident permit because ADVO wanted proof that she will go back. Im hoping ill get the visa before October if not i may apply for a visit visa.
