spouse sponsored me on 16 aug2010,still havnt heard anything from them

My spouse sponsored and sent my application on 16 august 2010 at missisauga,canada.
till date we have received any AOR or any letter from them,we are still confused whether they received our application or not and if yes how much time it takes for approval of sponsor application.

If you sent your application to Mississauga for an outland application, don't expect to hear anything for at least a month.

I sent mine to Mississauga in June and heard nothing for 6 weeks. It felt like forever!

It takes quite a few months for an application to be approved. As far as I know the New Delhi office is quite fast, from 3 to 6 months processing. That is AFTER you have received your aor. The whole thing is a long process so you'll need patience!

After Mississauga approves the sponsor - the file will be sent to New Delhi. You are then looking at another 3-5 months of processing (approximately).

hmmm....i was wandering that total processing time includes the day u sent your application to the day visa is approved...
well CIC website is indicating that applications received till 9 august are processed but i think that is for applications processed inside the canada not outside the canada.?????//

The August 9th date is the file processing date for the Mississauga part (sponsor approval) of outland applications.

There are two parts to the outland application:

1) Mississauga processing - sponsor approval
2) Regional/country processing - applicant approval

Part 1 will take about 1-2 months
Part 2 will take approximately 3-5 months since you are going through New Delhi

Approximately total: 4-7 months

ecas facility is available only when sponsorship approval letter comes or we can still see status of our application.
i was told that maximum weeks for sponsorship letter comes to be 6 weeks and delhi process it for anolther 6 weeks.
sooo confusing....

yep if you check our timelines it really does take awhile for everything to be processed. My wife sent her passport in the last week of july and now we are just hoping and waiting to get a response to see if a decision was made already and if we are approved best of luck to everyone. join the thread of those who submitted in august. you should be able to compare your timeline with others.

its a good idea to put on your signature your timeline so everytime you post, people will see whats happening with your account.

hey ramp .. don't get confused and tensed ...

you are going through normal timeframe ...

you'll hear from them in another 1wk r 10 days time reg ur sponsorship approval ..

meanwhile u may try login into ecas using the receipt number ..

you may check and join NewDelhi2010 applicants thread and see the timelines of various ND applicants ..

As few others said in this thread, ND is one of the fastest processing office ..

Once your sponsorshi is approved your file will be transferred to ND office immediately.

Once ND receives ur file, from then 3-4wks to open and process ur file .. they'll allot a file num and send u(whatever d local indian address u have mentioned in ur application) PPR through normal post ..

Your wife may courier hey PP to ND office .. preferably blue dart ..

From the day they receive PP, it takes 3-6 wks to send her PP back with visa ...

so all what we can do during this timeframe is to wait .... wait ... wait ..... thts it ...

i know its hard to stay apart but no other go . ..

just ask her concentrate on her job or learn somethng so tht days may pass like anything ...

i think u will soon get ur sponsorship approval as its mention on site 9 aug applications are still processing and add 39 days to ur application which comes out to be 16 september..hope in 2 days u will receive approval..
