Spouse open work permit

Hello, I am an international student on study visa. I want to bring my spouse over to Canada because I need her company around. How much proof of funds will I need to show in her application? Do I need to show 16,570 CAD which is the total amount for two family members or just 4K CAD since I already have my study visa?

Also, I want to ask that are pictures and marriage certificate enough to prove our relationship, Since we don’t have a joint bank account

When did you get married? was it an arranged marriage? how much time have you spent together in person after getting married? We do see many who have minimal relationship history and have only recently gotten married get denied. Unfortunately there is a problem with immigration fraud where international students who receive approval then have an arranged marriage which is a marriage of convenience. The goal is to secure an SOWP for the spouse who will then hopefully work in Canada to qualify for PR and they will get divorcedat a certain point. IRCC often wants so see a dating significant dating history before marriage or time together after marriage when considering SOWP after an arranged marriage. What type of degree are you doing? We see more SOWP approval for advanced degrees like masters and PhDs. When does your study permit and program end? You must have over 6 months left in your program to get approval. Approval isn’t only based on money. The extra money required is probablyomewhere in between the 4-16.5k. It will partially be dependent on where you are living in Canada since the cost of living varies quite a lot. Approval is based on many things so tough to predict most SOWP approvals. If denied due to lack of relationship history with time most get approved.

I have a question related to spouse open work permit “proof of funds”.
While applying through GCkey account, I can’t see any section specifically for “proof of funds”.
Does that mean I should include the proof of funds under client information (SOP)?
Need urgent reply please.

Hey folks
I applied for sowp for my husband on 29th august
That time i was on study permit and i finished my study in August. My study permit was going to end on 30 nov and i applied pgwp on 3 nov but before ending my study permit my pgwp got approved in 20 days . So, now my visa is until 2025
I submitted my pgwp approval letter to spouse application.
But main concern is that
I got an request letter on 29 oct, they asking for relationship proof as they thought that our marriege is not genuine. They give us 14 days to provide relationship proof.
As we got married in proper lockdown time
Everything was closed due to lot of restrictions.
But whatever we have our relationship proof send them again on 8th Nov
After that , we didn’t get any update
My question is
How much time it can take for result after respond to their requests ?
