Yes , it passed 14 week and its 15th week now for my file. but I don't know what they are doing. Are they looking at everyone as suspicious immigrant? a person is living in Canada for 2 years paying each penny of tax to government have good track record and now for most of the applicant they are interviewing his/her spouse and taking so much time to review then what can we say? Canada called abundant refugees in last years and when it comes to international students ... they are taking time. Sometimes it makes me so frustrated.

I hear you, international student as well, been waiting for 4 months. Sadly this seriously makes me reconsider my plans in Canada when I'll graduate in a few month...
But I don't think the refugees have anything to do with that tho, CIC just lacks fund/staff wich is a shame

C$250 is not enough to process lol? What they are expecting to process fast? C$1000 for work permit to process faster ?

I submitted my payslips, Itr , form 16, my marriage certi ,our pics, upfront medicals, passport copy ,my husband visa copy ,my husbands university offer letter, first term fee receipt ,caq as he is quebec , my husbands pay slips, his itr and form 16, accomodation letter from his friend his friends visa copy and lease aggreement, passport copy, my dad and mom provided notary stating that they will sponser for my expenses so my parents itr, payslips, form 16, my bank statement. Bank balancr certificate of mine and my husband. Covering letter, reference letter from my organisation. These ar

That's an interesting point, it is true that in various countries you can pay more to speed up whatever you're dealing with the government.
But I believe in Canada it would be against the rule since you can't discriminate based on $..
gotta be patient on this one bud

2. Did u apply online or offline.
3. When did ur husband leave to CANADA and after how long after he left have u applied. ( Because my wife left on Aug 31 and some are recommending me to wait for at least 6 months before i apply for SOWP)

can understand the frustration , all we can do is be patient and wait .. I am on the same boat as you on this.

Hi guys, copying from another thread, maybe someone can help out:

I just got my Bridging open work permit today. I want to apply for Spousal open work permit for my husband (currently in Russia) on the basis if that. He is my dependent in my PR application under CEC (I am currently employed full time in Canada under NOC 0621).

I cant see anywhere on Cic website if i need to show any proof of funds from his side. And when I upload all docs to online application, there's no slot for "Proof of means of financial support" like usually.
Is my employment good enough for the application? My husband is unemployed right now but has some savings, not too much. Do you think there's a chance to get approved?

Would appreciate any input!

Medical done: 27 sep
Medical passed:10 oct
Passport request: 25 oct
