I started my M.Sc. in Canada in January 2014. I got PhD offer letter in June, 2016. I applied for spouse's TRV along with my study permit extension during that time. Scenario during previous TRV application:
1. I was having my study permit.
2. She was an undergrad student studying in 3rd year.
3. Liquid asset shown in both my and father-in-law's account. (Bank statements and affidavit)
4. Fixed asset shown in father-in-law's name. (Affidavit and CA report)
Refusal reasons:
1. Travel history (She has no history of travelling outside country of birth).
2. Family tie in Canada and country of residence.
Current scenario:
1. I have finished M.Sc. and rejected PhD offer letter. I am currently working in a NOC A (Design Engineer II) level job.
2. She is an undergrad student studying in 4th year.
3. I can show similar amount of liquid and fixed assets.
4. No travel history for her yet.
My questions are:
1. Should I apply for her SOWP or TRV?
2. If SOWP, how can I explain her current situation as a student?
3. What should I put as an explanation for her travel history?
If you have NOC A job and PGWP then,
1) in my opinion its safe to go with SOWP.
2) You just need to type the informations about her past 10 years personal history(what she was doing and where) details in the form. Other than that you don't have to explain anything else.
3) Am not sure what to say here.
Note : For SOWP, we have to show marriage certificates , photos of marriage ceremony, call/chat history and your job details as proof of funds.
