They won't know unless you tell them (or if your husband's employer took the pain to call CIC and officially inform them, which i don't see a reason for - even if they have some issues with your husband, the also impacts the employer's reputation in front of CIC. They won't be able to hire another foreign worker after this). As long as you have all dependent documents, you should be fine.pricilla said:hi all
My husband has been dismissed from his work on a close work permit and has already received his employer ROE record of employment. His work permit expires in 2 years time and I understand that he can stay in Canada until his work permit expires. Now me as his wife, has recently received my visa eligible for an open work permit when landling to Canada. I woud like to know if I will get any problem at the airport when I enter Canada when the immigration officer will come to know that my husband has been dismissed from his current work. Thanking you in advance.
Answered already on duplicated post. Please be patient, before throwing the same question on several threads.Sravanthi_bandi said:Hi,
My husband is in Canada work permit visa ( from India)in which his visa will expire in November 2018, his company has applied dependent visa for me and my 2 kids, but we got visa validity only for 11 months (November 2017 is date of expiry instead of November 2018), why we have got like this, is this can be extended once we go to Canada, please advise . Thanks.

But telling that your spouse is out of job could raise a concern around this and i am not sure what possibly could happen.
Best course of action, assuming you have a decent work profile, is just not mention him being laid off. Get your open work permit, and then get a job there, while for your spouse, find a way to get a new work permit or job.
If you manage to secure a skilled job and do that for a year, you might be able to apply for PR after a year and could be through before your work permits expire.
No.. I had been into such situation and they r not going to inform CIC. The reason to sending a copy to service canada is your employers responsibility and they sent to them( if your husband has more insurable hours as per the province, he will get EI aswell). That's it!!pricilla said:Thank you very much for your help FKL
I have a last question please. When my husband received his ROE record of employment (written dismissed), it says (on the paper) that a copy has already been sent to Service Canada (Electronically). Can you please advise if CIC will have a record via Service Canada of his end of employment?
thank you again
Some times, officers are in sleepy mood and they wont check much...you can certainly extend once you come here....and the only pain is you have to pay one more time your fee...Sravanthi_bandi said:Hi,
