my lawyer has shown her colours finally from 100$ to full visa fee repayment again of 255$. Now since every1 here has so much confidence a re submission of a new application will work. i want to ask something. Lawyer can possibly apply today if i agree to pay the fees. confirmation shall come tomorrow already. 12 August 2016 - 21st Oct 2016 is the exact time period for 10 weeks. Just in case if there is a miracle we may get approval, but my wifes visa will only have left 5 months then. What is the assurance cic will approve regardless of her visa duration? and not deny saying visa will expire soon?

As you are aware with my sitatuion. it seems quite clear my wife cannot opt for a second course. and until she has secured her nursing license she cannot get a NOC 0, a or b job. Do you actually think its practical now even to try going there? or simply just let my wife stay her visa period for PGWP of 1 year and come back home is the best option? seems like cic just crushed our dream.

Online application 10 weeks. And u knew how punctual cic is.. already rejected application needs some extra time. after waiting so long Cic gives wonderful reason that your spouse permit is remaning less then 6 months so u no more eligible.

I need some quick advice here. My Work permit for Ontario has been approved and I will be moving to Toronto from Singapore around 22nd Aug,2016 whereas my wife and son will join me around end of Oct,2016. My wife is also a working professional in an IT firm in Singapore and her TRV(visitor) is approved as well.

My nationality doesn't fall under TRV exempt country list hence not sure whether she will be granted an OWP at POE. So my question is : is it wise to apply her OWP online while she being in Singapore? Or she should apply once she is in Canada ( if not granted at POE) ?

If she submit her application online with visa office kept as Singapore then the processing time is like 4 months but it could be approved earlier as well.

Why I am saying whether its wise to apply online while she is in singapore--> Her current company has told her that she could be offered a position in toronto if she could process her OWP asap..

I am in a strange situation hence any of your advice will be well taken and appreciated!

Hi everyone!

I am having difficulties with the "Check Your Eligibility Tool" since this is the only way to start an online application it is not allowing my wife to apply for a Work Permit but Visitor visa only. Here is my situation;

We are in Canada I have a PGWP and I am working on NOC A, my wife status is Student (ESL School). When I answer all the wright questions at the Eligibility Wizard it just show the option to apply for a Visitor Visa, but if I change the answers stating that my wife is a Visitor in Canada, then the system allow her to apply for a Work Permit as spouse of someone with WP working on NOC 0,A,B.

Therefore seems like she must apply for a Visitor Visa first and then apply for a Work Permit. This is awkward, why she can't move from Student Visa to Work Visa? Does anyone have any idea what could we be doing wrong?

Please share your thoughts.

Hi There,

I am a PGWP (Open permit) holder from past 1 year
I currently work in a Bank as skill level "A". I have 6 months contract as (37.5 hours per week) and pay is good. They keep rolling my contract every 6 months from last 1 year, again they will roll it when it expires for next 6 months.

Does that can provide me the eligibility to apply for spouse visa? Huh :

PS: I have funds in account and other required documents, spouse is currently working in my home country.

Please help with your experience, I really feel lonely without spouse here it has been 3 years !!! ???

I have another application but with a reconsideration request and additional 4 documents only. the lawyer didnt chagre any fees for this but i had to pay 255 $ again. they said processing time is going to be same 10 weeks. I have no confidence in this application already now but will c wat happens by end of october

That’s very difficult to answer. Coz when we were not getting any updates, my wife called call center in Mumbai, they said all the online applications are being processed at Bangalore. So next day I sent CSE to Bangalore embassy, very next day I got an respond from Bangalore embassy (they also kept delhi embassy in cc) saying your application is getting processed at Delhi and they will contact if any additional info required.

But at the end when we got the visa approval letter, it reflects that letter is being issued from Bangalore. So it’s difficult to say where exactly application was processed.

One thing I want to highlight and I noticed that after I sent CSE to Bangalore embassy, I got medical request within few days. However, this just my assumption, not sure it was because of the CSE or was part of normal process. Hope this info will help.

Hello everyone..my husbsnd is on study visa in canada..he has applied for my work permit through a lawyer by online applicationme.our visa got rejected in may reason: financial .we had already shown 10,000 Cad in my husbands account n 4.5lac in my account. We have reapplied again giving readons with showing around 19000 cad in my husbands account n 4.5 lac in my account with an acknowledgment by my father in law that he has already transferred enough amount in my husband account (making it from 10k Xad to 19k Cad)and will take care of me n my 9 months old daughter if its required aling with my employer' letter of recommendation . 9 weeks are already over n our lawyer has suggested us to wait..it is very difficult situation. Please advise m so worries

Please help,
My husband is a temp worker in saskatchewan,has submitted his pr application and also a letter stating his change in status from single to married along with our marriage certificate. We are not applying for my spousal imm file right now as he is about to receive his pr and will sponsor me once he gets his. Now my question is:
1. Can i apply for spousal open work permit from outside canada online or do i have to apply paper based?also can i apply for sowp based on his job??
2. Can my husband who is in canada apply for my sowp online?
3. Mu husband has sent letter to cic stating his marriage but what is the procedure for him to show me as his spouse in his pr application?
