Linked paper application to cic: july 5th ( only medical was updated in it as passed)
Email from cic: 13th august ( ther was nothing in it. Just a mail that application has been updated)
After checking GCkey the status was unchanged.
So today 16th AUGUST(status changed to approved)..
Called vfs they said passport has been dispatched you will soon receive a msg to collect it. But approval mail hasn't come and there was no msg in GC ACCOUNT.
This is what bit worried...
Special thanks to bro yadav.. he was always explaining his situation and also suggested me...
All the very best to all sowp applicants
told you to go to VFS Delhi and apply there. You could have got an approval by now!gsingh2711 said:Chandigarh wale sare applicants da tan rabb hee raakha.
People have been waiting since last year for their decisions.
I think our turn will come next year as we applied this year.
I saw a post where someone from Punjab applied in New delhi and eventually his file was transferred to Chandigarh vfs. That's why I thought that they were gonna transfer mine to Chd. as well so I directly applied there.Navprateek said:told you to go to VFS Delhi and apply there. You could have got an approval by now!
Should've applied at New Delhi. It was a mistake to apply at ChandigarhNavprateek said:told you to go to VFS Delhi and apply there. You could have got an approval by now!
I dont think one can apply at New Delhi when their residence address is in Punjab. File will go to Chandigarh vfs automatically.gsingh2711 said:Should've applied at New Delhi. It was a mistake to apply at Chandigarh
My husband lives in Punjab, due to the long processing times he went to VFS new delhi and applied there. His file was processed at VFS New Delhi only. IN less than a month his SOWP was approved!Unsung said:I dont think one can apply at New Delhi when their residence address is in Punjab. File will go to Chandigarh vfs automatically.
Oh really, thanks for letting me know. I applied through an immigration consultant and he didn't tell me that. Now my MP is telling me that it is causing delay because you've also applied for spousal PR application and I don't believe that. I know people here in this forum were in the same shoes and thy got their visa approved. I applied on April 28th. No updates. I'm getting frustrated now, not that thy have not given a decision on my file but also because people here are waiting since December 2015. That's bullshit.pankaj281 said:Hello folks,
My wife applied for spousal open work permit on May 2, 2016.
The file is being processed at Chandigarh VFS. No response yet and they are not responding to our email queries as well.
I notice a lot of other people in this forum are sailing in the same boat.
Anyone who applied close to May 2 and had any updates yet?
Yes, it is very frustrating. I tried calling the Canadian Consulate General in Chandigarh but they did not gave any information. They asked me to send an email but when I did so, they didn't replied back.Unsung said:I applied on April 28th. No updates.
