Hi guys,

CIC notified me that I passed medicals. What is the next step? And how long does it take to go to the next step? I applied on 21st March 2016..

CIC website claims 2 months processing time for applicants from India and most people who got their approvals recently have been seeing similar times for their application. So expect to hear back from CIC around 21st May.

I applied on 14th March. I will update you when I hear back.

I applied with upfront medical. The results were updated within 2 weeks on my application. After that, I haven't got an update. I am expecting to hear back from them sometime in the week of May 16

Hi Guys,

Is there anybody who have went through Member of parliament for reconsideration after SOWP refusal... ? How much time usually MP takes to reply back on request ?

I just met one of our Local MP on 2nd may...He asked for Refusal letter, WP, BC PNP letter, and pay stubs !

Also, Is it ok to re-apply SOWP while MP works on my file ? Because i dont know how much time MP will take :-/ to get the response for me or re-open our file !

Please help !!!!

Please i have a question.

1. My wife just git an admission for a postgraduate programme in canada and she's in the process of applying for her study permit. We have 2 son's age 5 and 3. I want to accompany her with the kids.

2. I have to apply for an Open work permit but am not sure what the kids will apply for (Is it study permit or temporary stay)

Applied it as an online application.. The whole process would take anywhere between 2 months to 2 months & 2 weeks..

Is it 2months and 2 weeks for receiving medicals and passport together.We didn't do any up front medicals.So when Can I expect any medicals update.Since we have applied on March 18th and it's already 45 days and no update still..

I am on PGWP. My wife is in India. I applied twice for visitor visa for her. Both times it got refused. The last refusal came on 3rd of May. I now want to apply for SOWP. My question is- should i apply straight away or should i wait for a few days? The TRV refusal letter was marked that she won't go back, travel history and settlement funds. Please advise
