I applied on 9th may too...for my wife .. no updates yet .. but called CIC today ..automated message says working on application made before or 19th may.. so hopefully we will be listening soon.

Hi All,

Just sharing my timeline for SOWP application

Online Application - on 30.12.2014 ( Applied within Canada while spouse in India)
Spouse has 2 previous visa rejections both student and visitor.No representative was used
Can you sample of the letter ur husband wrote for explanation
Medical Request- on Jan 10th 2015
Medical Passed Medicals Done - on Jan 20th
Medicals Passed - on February 4th 2015
Passport Request - February 15th
Passport Submitted - February 19th
Visa Approval - February 26th

The Application was petty simple, uploaded the required forms - added additional documents as a single
pdf at the explanation letter tab (both mine and husbands)

Please the lawyer u are using are they good and can you give me the lawyer number

well i wouldnt say good or bad. but i chose my lawyer on review basis on google. My application is still in process. look for Akrami & associates and ask for Shabnam Akrami. If you could give my reference Yadav then maybe its easier. Cos many of my wife's classmates r also planning to apply with this lawyer. anyway gudluck keep us posted here

As your spouse resides in India. the application will be processed in India only no matter where you apply from!

other than that i submitted the following documents:
1. Spouse Job letter (indicating Salary, NOC code & Job duties)
2. Copy of T4 (tax forms)
3. Canadian Bank Statement for last 6 months

Are you applying inside Canada?

Regarding the spouse job letter, I was wondering if it has to be a permanent offer because the CIC website did not state permanent but it only needs to be under NOC 0, A or B.
