Hi friends,

After getting rejected twice from cic new delhi for TRV- Visitor. My wife applied through an Attorney in Canada for SOWP. We applied through the lawyer as a representative online on Apr 22 2016, the lawyer said we can expect to hear from them by end of May 2016. But they havent got any update for now. The last screenshot sent by laywer said
File status - open
Review for medicals - passed
Nothing else was required at this time
Final decision -not started
last week processing time for india showed 2 months now it shows 9 weeks. im confused how long do we have to wait really?

Did any1 apply around the same time and had any response?

Does anyone have any idea about how long does it take after the medicals have been passed??

I have the similar situation too - I have applied on 28th April, 2016 and still waiting for verdict.

But after waiting time get gets over (i.e. 9 weeks as per current processing time) we can always send case specific inquiry and they will revert us back in 5 working days.

Hi All, My timeline

Visa applied :- 18th march (paper based through VFS new delhi)- With upfront medical
Medical Request :-20th april (with a deadline of 30 days)- the mail went to spam folder
Linked application online:- 6th June (the god the application status was open as the 30 days to submit medicals had been passed)
Medical submission :- 6th June (through CSE explaining the reason for late submission as the mail was received in the spam folder)
Medical approved :- 15th June
Visa Approved :- 16th June

just want to ask wen u applied wat was the processing time mentioned back then. cos seems like u had a 3 month duration.
and for ours we got 2 months n now 9 weeks. we r kind of approaching our deadline. let hope it comes soon with positive reply.

When i applied it was showing 1 month processing time, but i missed the mail from CIC for medical submission on april 20th, otherwise i would have received visa much earlier.

oh cool so u really took a lot of time to submit ur medicals again u got request email 20 apr and u submit 6 march. pretty lucky for application to remain open. well we really hope we get on time. my appicationis also open n says review for medicals -passed and nothing els needed just final decision not started.

yea, I don't know why they asked me for medical when i already submitted it upfront. Doesn't matter now, i submitted it again and send them enquiry through cse about my application almost everyday.

you should get a reply by next week, if not, just submit a case specific enquiry and they will look into your application and will process it faster if it has passed the processing time.

we need to consider the current processing time as it is based on the application they are processing right now. As per today they are working on the application which was received 9 weeks ago. But this is just an estimate, any application can be processed much earlier or later than that.
