Spouse Open Work Permit - Online Application - Approved (Timeline)

My spousal OWP has been submitted to Delhi visa office on March 26th 2015 and I would like to know how much time will it take for them to process?

Can any one share their spousal open work permit online submissions which were filed in INDIA?

Hi Everyone!

I think i've found the right forum for my queries.

I hope you guys can give me some pieces of advice regarding my current situation.

I am an Alberta Nominee and i already submitted my Pr application to CIc last October 9 2014, got my Aor on March 4 2015, Medical received on march 10 and was done last March 28. My work permit will expire on May 14 2015 (exactly a month from now). I applied online for an extension of my work permit using my Nomination Certificate last January 15, 2015. And upon applying, i have decided to try applying my husband's open work permit together with my application (from the options online i chose "yes" in accompanying/applying for dependents). My husband was currently working in Qatar. Until now i haven't heard anything on my application. I've been calling CIC almost weekly to check the status, and they always tell me that my work permit is still on process. They ask me to send an authorization letter so i can access my husband's application.

I wonder if this is the reason why my work permit application was put in a delay? And if ever they will reject my husband's application, is there any possibilities that my WP application will be rejected as well? Is there anyone who did the same thing as mine? I hope anybody can enlighten me..

Hi Guys,
Just wanted share my timeline ask your opinion- Applied for SOWP for my wife and TRV for my daughter-
March 9th, 2015- Submitted paper application through VFS Delhi
April 2nd, 2015- Request for Medicals for both
April 6th, 2015- medicals done
Now waiting for update, any thoughts on further timeline or results?

Still no updates from CIC bangalore. I hope mostly next week I will get reply since their standard processing time of work permit is 2 months. Did you get any response from them?

Note: We even did not receive medical request.

My spouse application has been submitted on the first week in March, last week she received Email requesting IMM5257. Given 5 working days to upload missing document, they noted that, failure to do so, the application will be closed and refused for lack of compliance.

Is that means OWP has been approved already and they processing the TRV now ?

ohh its 3 months not even a reply. the present processing time is 2 months. it exceed that time so you have to contact cic ASAP. may be there is any technical problem or they may contact you via email. a friend of mine even got the same problem for his wife. his wife missed the passport request email and they finally got the visa.

Just sharing my timeline for SOWP application

Online Application - on 30.12.2014 ( Applied within Canada while spouse in India)
Spouse has 2 previous visa rejections both student and visitor.No representative was used

Medical Request- on Jan 10th 2015
Medical Passed Medicals Done - on Jan 20th
Medicals Passed - on February 4th 2015
Passport Request - February 15th
Passport Submitted - February 19th
Visa Approval - February 26th

The Application was petty simple, uploaded the required forms - added additional documents as a single
pdf at the explanation letter tab (both mine and husbands)

How its possible that you applied inside Canada while your spouse is in India?
I guess there is only possibility to get sowp and that is open work permit outside Canada?
