Hi I am looking for some guidance,
My friend brought her husband and he left her about 1 week after receiving the pr card. He took everything from her, her money and her belongings
My friend has said that he had abused her raped her and scared her in many ways that she has records of, voice mails and texts and all.
she would like to file an appeal on her own with my help. How can we go about this.
thank you.

She needs to start by going to the police and filing charges against him, including a restraining order.

She should then report him to CBSA for immigration fraud (marriage of convenience): https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/protect-fraud/report-fraud.html

I would certainly still file a report with police. If he raped her and has threatened her, she should be filing a report and getting a restraining order in case he returns. This is extremely serious. She should protect herself.

No, there isn't a different link. It's in the very first line of the link I gave you. She needs to call CBSA and file a report.

How do I report immigration fraud?
Call the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Border Watch Toll-Free Line at 1-888-502-9060 to report

What decision does she intend to "appeal"?

How long did she know this husband? The story is rather unusual that a husband could change so radically so quickly if the relationship was one of any duration.

If there is any substance to the rape and other allegations, of course it should be reported to police a.s.a.p. Not knowing where he is does not amount to a reason to fail to report. That's like a bank not reporting a robbery because they don't know where the robbers are.

A spouse losing their PR is actually very difficult so a police report about stolen money/goods and sexual assault would be beneficial because more cases where the spouse leaves soon after entering Canada don’t result in the new PR losing their status. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know where your spouse is currently located. How long had your friend been married and how much time had they spent together in person? Were the assaults before or after getting PR? Was the money in both their names of under your friend’s name only?
