april pa wala parin advise kung pano na? or no update pa? kakatense naman oh..

Sis, progressive naman ang update ng application namin ng anak ko sa far. the last time i checked my ECAS its "In Process" and "Medical results have been received" dated June 7, 2011.

Have you checed your ECAS yet? try mo para may idea ka. feeling ko may update ka na rin since 3 days lang yata ahead ang filing ng application ko compared with yours

I came to this thread to ask this very question! Do we need an appointment to see a DMP, and it looks like we don't. We will be seeing the one in Baguio.

As a continuation this question......

Will we get the results right away, or do we need to go back in a few days or ???

The results will be forwarded by the DMP to the Canadian Embassy. You wont know the result. Incase you need additional test, they will call you. No calls means everything is ok and will be forwarded to the Embssy.

What they will give you is a paper- a proof that you've undergone the medical exam. This is the one you will include in your application to be submitted at CIC-Missassauga. You need to go back 5days or more to get that paper (depends on the clinic).

Also.....

For the Police clearance from NBI, is this something that we can get quickly or does it take a long time

You can get it in 30minutes

And....

For an original copy or her birth certificate, and marriage certificate from NSO....how long does that take?
For the birth certificate, you can get it in an hour aftr you requested so with the mariage certificate. But for the AOM or Advisory On Marriage, you need to go back after 4days or more.

tumawag ako sa kanila. Iba yung info na nakalagay sa website and sa nakausap ko from their office.

if meron ka ng PPR yun lang kelangan mo dalhin sa seminar. pero kung wala you need an authenticated marriage contract from the philippine consulate ng canada.

sana maging consistent sila sa info nila haaaay.

anyway.. status ko medical results received na... mga gaano kaya katagal bago nila ibalik yung passport ko?

Hindi naman po sila strict sa mga requirements. Sundin mo nalang yung nasa Website and make sure to bring photocopy of your requirements. eg. NBI clearance , marriage certificate, etc

Nung nag attend ako yung NSO-marriage certificate at photocopy nya ang kinuha sakin, hindi naman kailangang authenticated by the Philippine Consulate ng Canada.

Yung pagbabalik ng passport hindi ko lang po alam. hehehehe. Tignan mo yung table natin from Passport sent to Visa received.

Continuation of B: To renew or apply for passport at Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) certificate from Seminar B is required

To avoid delay of visa processing, make sure all fees were paid, and all documents were submited.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). If this fee is not paid with the application, Canadian Embassy Manila will first contact you to send you a letter to tell you to pay. The letter goes to the person being sponsored but the fees have to be paid by the sponsor themselves. You then pay your fees online or at a bank and have to send the proof to CPC-Missassauga. Then CPC-M sends notice to the CEM that it was paid.
It takes time to get back to you to tell that the fees are paid. So it does slow down the process quite a bit. Failure to pay the fee at the time of submission of the application will result in a minimum additional two-month delay in the finalization of the application according to http://www.cnn1.net/pdf_forms/3900E.pdf

Additional documents usually requested by the embassy:
1. AOM (Advisory on Marriage) from NSO- different from Marriage Certificate; should be submitted at CPC-Missassauga together with other required documents at Country Specific Instructions-Philippines http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3905e.pdf
2. Divorce Petition- different from Divorce Certificate; usually requested from Filipino sponsors who are divorced based on experiences of posters in this forum. (For natural-born Canadian sponsors who are divorced, seems that they don't ask from you, but pls confirm at CEM)
3. Appendix A- or Additional Family Information; though submitted previously, they will still ask a copy; the letter usually comes with the AOR/PPR
4. Detailed statement of relationship with the EX (notarized)- for sponsored person with a child from their ex. Sometimes you are required to submit: Ex's I.D, a notarized letter stating the ex allows the child to be sponsored, or other document asked by the visa officer.

I need advice po. May kinalaman sa work ko. Hindi ko alam kung mag rresign na ako as instructor dun sa university na pinagtturuan ko. In process pa lang naman yung papers ko, kkabayad lang ng asawa ko ng RPRF last friday. I dont know kung gaano katagal bago dumating ang visa ko...pero ayaw ko kc mabitin ang school before matapos ang first sem....am not sure kung july, aug. Or sept.. Sooo confused! Guys any input will be highly appreciated!! Thanks much!

Thanks for the advice! That enlighten my mind a lil bit..na delay kc ang passport ko thats why nung june 7 lang ako na in process.pinapalitan ko yung passport ko to red one. Buti nalang hindi ako inabot ng 2 months! I got it after 12 days. Kaya un na delay.. Thanks again

well actually @ yvettejeanne since kasama sa checklist ang canadian visa photo nagenclosed din kami nyan ng anak ko sa application namin, forgot how many na nga since last april pa yun.

CEM need 9 pcs of VISA pics with name, signature and bday in 1 pic of every set of the pictures...meaning if you are the applicant provide 9pcs and write your name and signature with your bday at the back of 1 pic of that set..kung 2 naman kayo applicant ex. with your kid 9pcs sayo 9pcs kanya.

Hi pop...I'm also working as Instructor...yan din worry ko..semestral kasi school namin...siguro naman kung lumabas ng July or august yung VISA natin di mabibitin mga students natin...sa case ko kasi 2nd week ng October finals namin so pwede ako magbigay ng final exam a week earlier or siguro naman pwede ka na pa-substitute pag-finals na kung exam na lang naman bibigay sa students...ako kasi hesitant din tanggapin teaching load kaya lang naiisip ko what if di agad pa lumabas VISA sayang naman pag-aantay ko di ba and besides regular faculty ako.

Haayy salamat redtag at merong nakarelate sa situation ko! Ang hirap kc mag decide, alam kc sa school na aalis na ako, ang pakiusap lang nila wag ko daw sila bitinin, sabi ko oo. Ndi ko naman expect na mag in process na agad ung papers. At magbbigay p ako ng another 2 months kc delayed RPRF namin. Pero gs2 kc ng asawa ko pag dumating daw visa ng august alis daw kaagad ako, tapos naisip ko panu unh school eh august midterm pa lang un? ???

In the Philippines specific form it asks for an original copy of the marriage certificate or a cenomar or Advisory on marriage.

Of course we can not give a cenomar, and the marriage certificate she will have is too someone else. Should we still send that one?

My worry is that if we send nothing, that they will request something delaying the process.

I think the marriage certificate that they are asking is yours guys, if you were married. And since ur not,.. then u have to provide documents such as annulment papers. (which will go a looong way) if you can't provide this annulment documents then i think there would be an issue there. did you try and check the conjugal partner category instead?

Im not in a common law relationship. But i think she will need to submit the Advisory on Marriage and attach Proof of Separation with her ex.

From a previous post that i read, Canadian embassy requires Single applicant to pass a Cenomar (even children?). And married, AOM.

AOM shows how many times she got married, and the name of the person she was married to.
Advisory on Marriage is different from Marriage Certificate. When you apply for AOM in NSO, you will fill up the CENOMAR form.

Hmmm I'm not sure we have to provide annulment papers, at least I hope not as we have not tried, due to several factors. Besides the obvious reasons of them taking years to finish and a large cost, she does not qualify for an annulment. She's not insane, not a lesbian, etc and abandonment is for some crazy reason not a reason we would be allowed to use.

We will however get a notarized letter saying she is 100% separated from him, has not seen him, since their marriage dissolved and has no plans to see him again, and has no idea where to find him even if she wanted to.

What if we include the original marriage certificate, AOM, and a letter stating her situation?

From what I hear The Manila office is used to dealing with these situations and does will accept someone if they are married provide that they can prove they have been away from their partner to develop a common law relationship (1 year) and provide some sort of evidence that they are no longer together, such as ending joint lease agreements if any etc.

Is there anyone else reading this who was previously married, could not be divorced and entered into a common law relationship and got sponsored? Would like to know the steps you took!
