I think the travel ban to DOST scholars had long been lifted. I actually got my passport just recently, and everything went smoothly with the DFA and NBI. Here's my timeline:
Medical Exam - June 9
Medical Result submitted to CEM - July 3
Passport Delivered to CEM - July 28
PR Granted - August 16

Wala bang note sa NBI Clearance nyo na under DOST Program pa kau? So you mean kahit nk Temp Clearance na ngayon pwede na mag work abroad or migrate? That's good news!

I am a Canadian and we applied for PR mid Nov of 2013. We waited and waited an in mid Mar of 2014 notified that they received on 12 Feb 2014. They started working on it mid March and i was approved as sponsor 1 Apr. We were asked for pp, medical and certificate of marriage end of July. in process 14 Aug 2014 and as of today still in process. Wait, wait wait

I'm sure your docs are being verified and reviewed.nothing to worry it usually takes an average 3 to 4months until an update in status shows in the Ecas.. its really a challenge during the waiting game..as ive said pitnog, patience is the name of the game...godspeed.

Quick question. I am sponsoring my son from the Philippines.

Submitted application: Feb. 2014
Started processing: March 2014
Passport request: August 2014
Decision made: Oct. 17, 2014

His status said "decision made and this office will contact your son." What does mean? He's been approved? How long does it take for him to get his passport back from the embassy?

when I get my NBI clearance, nHIT ako pero dati d naman. I am not sure kung due to DOST, kc ung ibang scholars hindi nmn nHIT. ung iba, HIT. Nway, hindi nmn ako hiningan ng agency ng clearance. after a week ata, I've got my NBI clearance for Immigration. When I applied for a passport, kumuha talaga ako nga clearance from DOST kac nkspecified sa requirements ng DFA for scholars. There was no problem in my passport, the staff did not even ask my clearance, I just reminded her dahil baka mgkproblema processing. I hope there will be no problem in my visa, wala nmn kc akong nrereceive n email asking for additional documents.

Guess, around 2011?? ive read also that return service can be deferred, Others have settled their obligations to DOST, and were able to migrate. afterall, if mklabas tlaga ang scholar, they can just run after the CO-MAKER. However, I noticed that in ASHTRDP-DOST, they dont have that in their contract, unlike the ERDT-DOST.

For sure you will be with him..at maganda sa BC..medyo mataas lang cost of living. At sana magamit mo ang MS mo sa DOST, maybe not immediately dahil mahirap magland ng same profession..but kaunti tiis at patience..magaling ang Pinoy eh..goodluck. gusto ko BC at Calgary eh, kaso dito na ako MB..so love ur own.LOL....so many things to be grateful for..no regrets.

Tumawag nga pala ang asawa ko sa CIC mga almost 1 hour raw siyang naghintay na may sumagot at may nakausap daw din siya at napag usapan daw nila yong visit visa . Sabi nang nasa kabilang linya hindi raw yon kumplikado at kahit ma refuse pa raw ang visitors visa hindi raw yon makakaapekto sa spousal application.
Natanggap mo na visa mo sis?

Ah okay, dati kc nHIT ako due to DOST at saka may remark tlga clearance ko about my obligation kaya I ask kng walang remarks sa NBI clerance mo. Ung pinadala kasi ako dati for offshore training gamit ko temp clearance to secure my Passport. Sana nga walang problema kng ganun.

That's nice kng ganun ang contract sa masteral mo, I think DOST SEI RA7687 ata ung program ko for undergrad. Dati may mga kabatch na ngkaproblema mg migrate dahil hindi pa sila done sa obligation nila but that was before 2011 pa.hehehe Ung iba ata kng kabatch binayaran nlng ung remaining length of service at or parang ng issue ng bond ata un.

My husband passed his papers to CIC in July 2013. He updated his PR application (including me) in April 2014. I was asked for medical in June. Pr was approved in July, and my PP requested. PR was granted on August 16, and me waiting for visa till now. medyo mabilis ang process sa Canada, medy matagal dto sa Manila. But God's grace, it will come soon. Romans 8:32

salamat sa quick post. Tinatanong ko kasi si sis Samantala. Hindi ata online ngayon.

Since ng sent kayo sa CIC nong july 2013 , counted na ba yon? I mean maximum is 14 months dependi kung ma satisfied si VO. Kasi yong iba within 7-9 months na approved kaagad. Sa amin sinabay namin lahat medical at payment together with the application.
