I have a question for all members is now living in Ontario.

I want to be get ready once I will be arriving in Ontario.
In my knowledge that I can apply for my OHIP from the time I get landed, However there is waiting 3 months period before I will get the card.

I want to apply my SIN card and OHIP card at the same time in order for my husband will take 1 day off only to help me to process my SIN and OHIP.

Please let me know what other documents I have to bring besides my Passport and Landing Paper.
I do reserch online they need Proof of Residency (EX: Bills, Tax Assessment, Driver License etc..) but I am new comer what I have to present to them.

Please advise.

Thank you for your help!

pwede ka na mag apply ng SIN agad but for the OHIP hindi pa pwede kase may doc na need nila you need a bank statement kase ung address mo kailangan nila dapat nag stay ka muna here for 3months
kaya aadivice-san ka lang nila na after 3months saka ka magapply ng OHIP once na naka apply ka na may ibibgay sayo na paper and un muna gagamitin mo if ever mag papahospital ka kase

Thank you mrs. vip!

1. Take LTO Certificate with DFA sticker
2. Bring all my original documents ( In case the officer will ask some proof of my identity or for my future reference in my application)
3. Go to Service of Canada for SIN application
4. Go to the Bank to open my new account
5. Go to the Service of Canada for OHIP
6. Apply my Driving License (If I am ready in the written test hehehe)

Hi nester,

I was able to get this sa East Ave LTO. You file it sa LTO, then claim it sa DFA. If I remember right, release is after 7 days. mabilis lang ang sa East Ave filing. you just fill out a form then pay. i forget how much i paid. parang 100 lang ata or a bit more but definitely less than 500.

hope that helps.

ah thanks, malaking tulong po. Meron pa silang sinasabing membership sa international driving something, e makakatulong daw para mabilis makakuha ng license categ full G for ontario.

yung sa PRC and school records DFA authenticated, any idea pls?
I get my visa.thanks again.

@ MGM

sa ohip mo ask the bank to mail you a bank statement, kasi they have specific list sa OHIP to accept.. kahit na anung letter from the bank na may address ka na hindi kasali sa specific list they wont accept it..

ganyan din ako nung nag apply ako sa OHIP ang advice sa akin just gather all the documents needed wag mag rush kasi kahit sino naman daw hindi makaka kuha agad agad ng mga documents needed sa OHIP...
