Good evening forumates!...Finally dumating na visa ko...almost 7 months din bago dumating...hindi na nag update ang eCAS ko..hanggang in process lng sya...Pero may concern lng po ako, kasabay ko kasi sa application ang 16 months old na anak ko..his father is a Canadian Citizen..nung binalik ang Visa package ko passport ko lng ang may tatak, yung passport naman nang anak ko walang visa...they havent include any letter kung anong gagawin ko for my son para maka travel sya freely...may alam ba kayo guys kung anong pwede naming gawin nang asawa ko? thank you so much for all your help! ...

By “visa exempted passport” you mean, for example, a baby born in Hong Kong, who could gain entry to Canada without a consular visa, right?

What do such parents do? Postpone their landing for 14 months, I guess, or else leave the baby with relatives. Not a very appealing prospect for them..

From my link, the Hong Kong website wrote "Following submission of the citizenship application, if travel plans cannot be deferred, you may submit a fully completed passport application along with all supporting documentation as well as your child's proof of travel, itinerary or airline ticket, as supporting documentation to assess the case. As your child does not have citizenship documents, you will need to submit the original proof of Canadian citizenship from one of the parents, the original foreign birth certificate showing both parents' names, original marriage certificate of the parents (optional), and the receipt confirming submission of the citizenship application. Our passport examiners will assess your case and determine the necessity of issuing a limited validity passport to meet your child's travel needs.

I messaged her and advised her to apply for the proof of citizenship, it takes 7-10 months dahil it will come from Canada. As soon as she submits it she can use that to possibly apply for a Canadian passport for her kid. CEM can issue a temporary/limited validity passport for the child. Whatever way she choose, she has to act fast. She can defer her trip to Canada, until she receives that temporary passport but she needs to inform CEM as soon as possible. Her best bet is to go straight to the Embassy and start the ball rolling and hope that the temp passport will be granted.

my 1st advice din is better punta n lng xa sa embassy kc it really late dapat when she apply kc she file a citizenship certificate to get a canadian passport for his son but the processing is 14 months n ngaun ang max asa philippines.gc.ca po ang instruction how sa mga susunod n aplicant try to read that and go to cic website din to check the new rules for citizenship sa mga na lost ang citizenship pwede p ulit mag-aplay na and before april 17 2009 even ur born outside canada if ur parent is canadian you will be a canadian citizen na din but after april 17 2009 and ur born outside canada u are canadaian at birth need to file for canadian citizenship na.hay gudlac n lngkay sideangle85 dpat inuna nya ng inaplay kc un file ng anak nya un pagkuha ng canadian passport is 3 weeks lng nmn sana.

wag k ng tumawag pa go sa embassy mismo and bring all ur documents and if meron k copy ng proff of citizenship ng hubby mo dalhin mo all important documents bring them with you and ask immigtration officer what possible pwede mo gawin kc dpat yan pla ngfile k ng citizenship for ur son to get a passport,since anjan na yan maybe consulate could help you .pero pinagtataka q from the start n ng-aplay ka ndi k man lng binigyan ng advise ng embassy regarding sa aplication ng son mo,they should suppose to be,kaya go ka gurl sa embassy they have fault also since sana ndi nyo alm eh they should tell u na regarding ur son aplication blah,blah,blah .. i dont think n tama n ibalik n lng and ma at pa cla.(malay)(pakialam q pa).

kung di nman nadeny yung baby nde ba pede na makaalis sya as dependent filipino child, magland muna at dun na askasuhin ang citizenship? malaking delay siguro pag isinabay application dhil panipagong investigation na naman. what she could ask is nsan yung visa ng baby? but surely kailangan magverify siya sa cem kung nde kasama sa passport niya yung visa ng baby.

I just checked our application this morning. they received my husband medical.

whats next na kaya?

sana ma DM n tayo, i miss my husband so much..nag iisip tuloy ako umuwi muna ng pinas makasama lang ang husband ko..hirap ng magkahiwalay.
