Hello guys i know some of you here are just waiting for ur VOH but gusto ko lng magtanong kc sponsor ko ung husband ko... We got married last March 14,2015 ... Ang tanong ko is do i have to change my last name to my husband's name or do i have to change all my legal docs(such as PRC license,passport) to married before i can submit the application for spousal sponsorship?
Here in Canada, do i also have to change all my legal docs to married status before i can send the apps???

Wala ako pinalitan at all kahit yung sa tax ko lol pero ichange ko na yung sa tax. Wala naman naging problem...as a matter of fact, my husband is coming here in 10 days! so yeah walang naging problema talaga

Hi guys! I got an email from CEM last May 19 stating that my file is already finalize, and change my Ecas status to DM just now.

I already booked my flight on june 22, aabot kaya?

Hi, no need to change your last name, it was actually advised by my husband's consultant na wag ng change para di kna mahirapan (if in case you have an existing passport with your maiden name on it) kase additional time pa yun to update everything with your married name. Sayang time ang importante yung NSO cert docs mejo matagal yun kase. good luck on your application

Based on the experiences ng mga andto, there's really no exact time so it will always be best to wait for your visa before booking your flight .. Pra di masayang if there's a delay..

Hi neng! On my case, di pa ako ngch.change to my husband's surname. Kase lahat ng legal docs ko maiden name pa. Pr card, passport, etc. I thought it will just over complicate things and tatagal pa sya. So far, wala naman problema since di naman big deal sa canada na yung maiden name mo padin gamit mo. maybe after the process nalang ako magchange ng lastname. Yun ang next namin ggwin ni hubby ko.

Upfront po ung medical n ginawa ipapasa plng po nyan ung application pero ung clinic n kung saan ngmedical is ngbigay ng referral sa ibang doctor.. Pareho kami single before it means wla sa min kasal before or kids no baggage, kinasal kami jan. 17, 15 ng pinasa namin ung application lahat kumpleto, payment, documens and all proofs as possible. Worried ako kc sabi ng lawyer namin from canada ay get ready kc magtake daw ako ng interview 60/40 chances of interview kc un daw ang process talga sa spousal visa. As far as i know as long as u have strong proofs and documents d na mag interview sa CEM nagiging reason kc ng pagtatalo namin mag asawa kc insist ko na wla ng interview. Guys give me some advice, do u think mag undergo pa ako interview sa CEM? Thanks.

Hi sa mga nabasa q sa ibat ibang forum eh di naman iniinterview PERO kung ngkaroon ng doubt ang officer sa relationship nyo eh possible interview...it depends on the proofs na pinasa nyo na makakapag convince sa
officer..

Thanks po, but i think we passed sufficient proofs and documents, just our lawyer insisting all spousal applicants undergo interview here in CEM. Anyway i am wishing smooth process for us all. Salamat.

Here is an idea try calling an airline direct and see what you get for a quote. Sometimes you will be quite surprised at the offer.

Be careful with priceline and flighthub... flighthub likes to hold the full amount of the ticket as a pre-auth and then try to charge the full amount for the ticket!

Thanks Chris. Aside from calling the airline directly, do you think cheapoair.com is reliable? 'saw price quotes of less than CAD 1000. Do you think booking with them is safe?
