newbie alert .. may i know the meaning of the abbreviations? lol.. thank you!

Here's a few:

cem= Canadian Embassy Manila
dm= decision made
vo= visa officer/ visa office
ip= in process
ppr= passport request
sa= sponsor approval
aor= acknowledgement of receipt <---------they basically send you an email stating when they received your application and give you an application number and UCI number.
cic= citizenship and immigration Canada
poe= port of entry
mp= minister of Parliament
uci= unique client identifier
ecas= Electronic Client Application Status <--------when you receive an application number or uci number, you can check your application progress online.
CoPR= confirmation of permanent residence <------ Needed to enter Canada....applicants from visa exempt counties receive CoPR, applicants from visa required countries receive CoPR and a visa stamped on their passports

Meron ba ditong nakakaalam kung ilang days pinaka madali sa pagkuha ng canadian passport ng baby? Hindi na kasi pwedeng e-extend yung validity ng visa namin dahil naka booked na kami ng ticket. Meron bang may alam nito? Need help here kung ilang days ba talaga pinakamadaling process ng canadian passport.

Guys! I just checked my wife's Ecas and is says DM! Thank God! Every Friday tlaga update samin simula pa noon approval ng sponsorship, Iba talaga si God. October 29 applicant po ako and i hope that decision made will be a positive one! Sana mga kasabayan ko mag DM na din kayo.

OMG . It's DAY 32 since ECAS changed to DM.
# where's my VISA. :'(

Kapag nakalagay na DM na sa ECAS, hindi ibig sabihin ay darating na agad ang VISA. May iba ilang buwan pa ang inaabot para dumating at maibalik sa inyo ang passports. May mga iba naman na DM na ang nakalagay sa mga inadmissible. Ibig sabihin hindi po ito nangangahulugang ma-ibibigay na ang VISA. For example po, doon sa mga may problema sa mga papeles

Sana maging positive po ang result.

antay antay lang po daratin din yan. Sa ngayon maganda mag basa basa po tayo ng mga articles about sa mga experiences ng mga landed immigrants para po sa ating impormasyon. iwas culture shock na rin.

Hi, meron po bayad. But depende ata sa location mo. Like me from Rizal, yung nag cater is WWW.EXPRESS, i paid Php 110. Nabayad ko pa nga was Php150 sa sobrang excited ko kay Manong at nadeliver nya ng maayos ang package ko.
