i would like to apply for permanent resident in canada.but the problem is my husband married twice in philippines.and it happens that i am the second wife without annulment of the first marriage.we are living in together with one child.is there any possibility that i can bring him also in canada if i will apply with him?thank you.

hi sarrie...you said your husband married twice without annulment of the first marriage, that means the second marriage will be considered null and void. i think you cannot apply your PR with him (under common law partner since your living together) because he is still married under the philippine law. One of the requirements is Cenomar/aor from both of you, which will pose a question coz he is still married from the first wife. If he has no contact or communication for 5 consecutive years with his first wife (according to our phil family code: case of abandonment), marriage will be deemed as void. such, file an annulment and the annulment processing will not take years. goodluck.

update lang mga guys, grabe nakakapagod sa punta cem. dami ko kasabay kinuha ung visa. pinabalik kami ng 3pm.
then mga 3:30 binigay muna ung fillup, then tinawag isa isa. for confirmation of permanent resident, and tinawag ulet isa isa sa visa na,,
kakapagod inabot din ng 4pm payo lng sa mga ppunta ng cem. d nyo kealngan mag punta ng saktong 8am. kasi un iba dumadating ng 10am pa. wala din pinag kaiba sabay sabay din namin nakuha ung visa.

markel gano kayo ka dami nag aantay ng visa ?? meron ka bang approx numbers ?? hehehe buti naman bukas sila kaso wala silang nilabas na visa .. siguro pag ka mondays at thursday sila nag accomodate ng tao then wala silang ibang ginagawa tuesday wed sila nag wowork ? haahah ang hirap isipin pano sched ng trabaho nila

hello markel008,some questions lng please,yong letter from CEM states ba na you need to pick up your visa or anybody who has PPR can go there and pick up their visas and just wondering what are the other requirements they need in order for them to issue someones visa.your response is highly appreciated.thanks a lot

this coming september 19th..and hubby's birthday is on the 20th..i couldn't leave right away coz i had to find a replacement for me at the clinic i was working since my other colleague resigned tsk tsk..the flight was supposed to be on the 17th but i don't know what happened..but that's okay..i was able to wait for almost 2 years..what's another couple more days right?hehe

toopieNbinoo.....when did you submit your application?? As someone has mentioned....GOOD news is that they're looking at it and haven't rejected it as incomplete...wondering how long its taken them to look at it..

that's good to hear.. i submitted it in oct 25, 2012. but they started processing it on nov 22, 2012

just looked at your timeline. it's weird how i submitted my papers in oct.2012. and they started to file it on nov 25,2012. my husband just received his aor on aug 5, 2013 and he sent his passport on aug 7.2013..... it's weird how some applications take are faster than other applications.... but im really happy that ur hubby is coming soon... congrats to you. gives me hopes that my husband will receive his visa as well!
