Yes and also now might be a good time to get to know the English speakers around the forum! It's never too late.. you never know who might meet that can help you get started. I'm not trying to echo gortandmugs here, but for the others waiting, it's really in your own interest to branch out and meet all the other people on the other threads, especially when you might be job hunting later. We have a lot of BC people around.. I'm in Victoria, Iay is in Vancouver.. BC Guy is somewhere on the Manland I think.. Dan from Surrey, I guess he's from Surrey.. that's close to you. Just like in the Philippines, you will most likely find a job based on who you know
not what you know. So, all you potential job hunters get out there and start being what you're so famous for - being friendly ;D Introduce yourself in the thread for your application month ;D
There's lots of resources for job hunting for new immigrants that you can take advantage of..
However there's no substitute for making connections with people and pounding the pavement with your resume.
