Effective January 28, 2013, the Visa and Immigration Section at the Canadian Embassy in Seoul is closed. All permanent resident applications previously submitted to the visa office in Seoul will now be processed in Manila.

If more staff are not hired in Manila this can be expected to further slow processing.

link regarding the transfer of applications from Seoul. I hope this will not make the processing slower or longer than the 11 months for CEM.

haay,ito na nman,,,usad pagong na nman ang cem kung dito na ipaprocess nang tga seoul ang applications nla....sana namn mas lalong bumilis ang cem,,kasi for sure long wait na nman to... ,,, ,,,,

Sorry. What I said was i hope they hire more staff. And that they work fast and be efficient in processing our cases.

OK...I agree. The process is already very slow without adding more files from another country.

yeah,,i agree too,,,and for sure we will still have to wait long if in case that seoul will forwarded soon thier applications here in manila,,i do hope cem will hire a lots of employees for very fast processing,,,,coz its not easy we are are far with our loveones...

I am lucky I guess because I came to the Philippines in July 2011 and decided to stay here to be with my partner until such time as our visa is approved. Then we will go live in Canada where I was born.

I was born in Newfoundland, Canada but now have a home in Nova Scotia. But I have been living in Davao since July 2011. I have not even visited Canada once since then!
