as to what i see kasi the CIC reviews the papers of the sponsor tapos the CEM reviews the papers of the applicant. kasi if you notice, ang short ng period nung pagtransfer ng file sa CEM sa pagdating PPR. imposible naman na review na nila ang paper ng applicant sa short period na yun. in my case, after i sent out my passport, hiningan pa ako ng additional docs. so i guess, continuous pa rin ang pagbasa ng papers after PPR.

PAL ang airline na kakuha namin sa St. Raphael.. Aug 3 ang flight namin.. Ask ko lang kung may allowable baggage weight for immigrant?
Base sa website ng PAL 2 pieces of 50lbs per piece... wala bang leeway for immigrants above 50lbs? Ok lang bang lumagpas around 50lbs but not greater than 60lbs?

i think strict sila sa 23kg per piece na luggage. pwede lumagpas pero may bayad na

Nagkakaron lang naman ng Interview kapag di sila convince sa mga proof at evidence at isinagot sa Application Form.

hehehe pareho tayo ako nga wala pang flight at visa yan na pinoproblema ko so baka icourier ko na lang ibang things ko, or baka pwede mgadditional ng isang box tapos bayaran na lang as long as not more than $100 hehehe. Dami kong gamit din eh madami na din akong naidispose at meron na din akong gamit na dinadala ni hubby paunti-unti tuwing pumupunta sya dito. Sana yung mga ibang nasa Canada na bigyan kami ng input tungkol dito. I'm sure this is a common problem.

..Ran, ang allowed kilos sa PAL new immigrant is 23 per kilos..pwede magdala ka ng 2 bagahi 23 kada kilos bawat bagahi..yong light lang ang dalhin mo para maraming laman bag mo. Alam mo sa experience ko last trip ko..Manila_ Shanghai(Pudong Airport }-Toronto...grabe ang inabot naming problema..kasi supposed to be ang flight ng Pal is 11:45 am from Manila..nadelayed kami ng 2 oras..so pagdating namin sa China may sumalubong sa amin na taga erport bilisan ang lakad namin papuntang immigration then claimed baggage..pero pagdating na sa final para sa boarding hindi na kami naallowed kasi late na kami ng 10 mins..bali 5 kami pinoy..may kasama pa kaming senior na babae.naawa naamn naman ako kasi magisa lang sya tapos may wheelchair pa.So one of my co passenger from Pal..tried to contact PAL at naayos naman ang lahat..Nagcheck in kami ng over night sa airport hotel free...Subra ang fog sa China kaya subra din ang lamig..Kinabukasan after breakfast tuloytuloy na kami sa pumila para sa bagahe..Pero napakalaking malas ng kasama ko kasi ng tinimbang ng yong sa kany ang excess sya ng 4 kilos. Sabi nya bakit ang PAL excess baggage sya nagbayad sya ng mahigit 4 thous.Wala syang magawa nagbawas sya mismo sa erport..mga 4 kilos nagdala ba naman ng CORELLE ng pinggan at mga kutsara at tinidor buti na lang di nakita ang tinidor. . iniwan na lang sa erport..sabi kasi nya na di kayang iwanan kasi memorable sa kanya daw..sa wakas nakapasok na kaming lahat sa Air Canada...Nakarating kami na subrang pagod ...kaya kung Pal ingat ka lang kasi pagdating sa connecting flight di lahat airlines pareho ang allowed na bagahe..Good Luck sa trip mo..Saan ka ba sa Canada if you dont mind?

I'm just curious, we got married in QC then I moved back here in Manila then we submitted my sponsorship outland para mabilis and my husband is coming here this October sa work ulit, now in my passport we submitted, I'm still single because of my last name, in QC kasi you can't carry your husband's last name sa mga government papers mo, kaya I am so confused if I should have my passport change na from single to married kasi dito naman sa Manila mangagaling ang decision plus I submitted my NBI na married tapos andun ang last name ng husband ko, assuming lang ma aaproved visa ko baka hingan ako ng passport with my married name eh matagal process ng passport or they won't ask for a different passport something like that, does it make sense? I hope you guys can help me... and by the way I am so happy to read those messages na they got their visa already....

Hello! I have a question for the ladies na gumamit ng maiden name sa application. Kung approved at maiden name ang gamit, ano ang next steps, say, after landing? Can you have your name changed to your married name before you get your PR card, or after na? Ang layo pa, pero I'm deciding whether or not to change to married name here in Manila, or after visa app na. Thanks for your input!

too bad my sis wants to invite me to visit her again in sweden cause she just got deliver to her 2nd child...I dont have the passport on my hand..Well i could feel hubby dont want me to go there..hehhehe.. Sa akin sis i used my maiden name at sa lahat ng document kc nga matagal pa change name. But ung nbi ko declare ko n married ako. Result sa nbi with my surname de married name. As long as ung passport mo ung nakadeclare sa app at d pa expired pede mo pa xa magamit. Saka mo nalang isipin sis ung change name pag kkuha kna ng PR card pgdting mo dun

Ako noon sa PAL din sis pero, direct flight from Manila to Vancouver. Lumagpas ng 2kg luggage ko. Bale 2-pc. Sabi ng staff nung nagcheck in ako sa NAIA ok na daw yun. Ayun wala namang naging problema.

My mga weigh scale sa airport pag dika sigurado before the check in area.
Medyo kakabahan ka pag my stopover na ibang bansa like Hongkong or Beijing. Try to avoid overbagage gaya ng nakwento ng isanh ka forum natin.

Ako direct flight Manila to Vancouver. Pero Air Canada naman from Vancouver to Edmonton- Hindi na nila tinimbang bagahe ko before my connecting flight within Canada. ;D
