Hello everyone,

Most of VO specific forms asks for employment letters with job duties for the spouse, The spouse education is the only factor for points claiming, my spouse has two basic employment references without job duties, it is really hard to communicate with her previous employers for many reasons (for example her previous direct manager left the company and now we live in another country), we are thinking to submit her basic reference letters, one payslip and notarized copy of one employment contract along with asigned declaration from her regarding the duties she performed.. actually trying to obtain an employment letter with main duties for her will be very tyring for us, so please share your opinions and similar experiences, Is spouse employment letter with Job duties really an important doc ? can other doc i mentioned be accepted by VO or it can creates a problem with our application (we only claim points for her education)?

A logical thinking might say that they need it to test our ability to be economically established as the spouse can be employed in canada but i am not sure.

Please advice , I am confused !

There is no eligibility criteria or Points associated with your spouse employment. So in my opinion if you can not get the reference letter in prescribed format for the spouse, Notarized Copy of contract, salary slip, experience letter, etc should suffice

In my case I also did not get refernce letter for my spouse but sent her Notarized Copy of contract, Salary certificate, experience certificate, promotion letters and transfer letter

you are true. spouse only gets points for education.
if you find the reference letter does not specify duties etc as required by VO, you better write to explain to VO.
even if can not get spouse reference letter, you also have to explain to VO.
Send all the notarized file, like employment letter, salary slip etc will help.

Ahorse,
The Visa office specific instructions are different for all visa office. In some principal applicant & spouse employment reference letter is required while in some only principal applicant.
So if MoatazEissa Visa office needs spouse latest reference letter he should arrange the same and if any difficulty in getting so , he needs to write a covering letter explaining the same.
As we all know no points are awarded for spouse work experience.

I will provide her employment certificates, notarized contract, payslip alsong with a signed declaration regarding her job duties, and will explain the difficulty in getting detailed reference letter with job duity from her emplyers in the cover letter.

I hope this will suffice.

Hardeep for getting points for education you need to prove 15 hours of study per week. If your transcripts can say that it is excellent else the OP6 guide says that VO needs to use his local knowledge to decide whether to allocate points for education or not which means it is vo discretion to allot points.

In some cases I have seen people getting points for correspondence edu
