Hey,
I can see there are a few other posts about this topic but unable to find the answers to my questions so thought I would write a thread and hope some of you amazing people can give me some insightful info.
Firstly, I applied for PR for my spouse online, I now see this should have been paper based but it has already been submitted so not much I can do now. I wondered if anyone knows how long it takes for them to send out the AOR? It says a few months but this is pretty vague so has anyone had experience recently with the turnaround time?
Secondly, when i paid my fees, I also paid my fees for the OWP. My understanding is that after I get the AOR, I can submit the application for OWP online and provide the same receipt to confirm I have paid - is this correct?
Lastly, is it possible after getting the AOR to go to the border and flagpole and get an open work permit? A friend says they have done this recently and just had to bring all their documents, along with the person who was sponsoring you. I'm a little skeptical to just turn up at the border and the last thing I need is to be told I can't come back in. I'm on a Visitor Record at the moment so it doesn't guarantee re-entry.
Massive thanks for reading this and any help would be truly appreciated.
Thanks so much
