hello, my husband is a PR and he filed sponsorship application for me in june 2017 we got approval on sept 5/ 2017 after that forwarder the file to visa office new delhi it's been so long we didn't get any reply can anyone tell us the reason??
and our immigration lawyer is not giving us our online accounts number so we could check don't know why this is happening it's v worrying

The processing target time is 12months, so you are well within this timeline. Once the file goes to the VO it is normal for it to become radio silent. If your rep is withholding information from you, you can fire them. Alternatively, you can check the status of your application without having to link it here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html

If you received AOR and SA you should be able to find the file number and/or UCI which is all you need to check on that tooling system.

she is not giving us even our case number and when my husband asked her why it took almost 5 months for SA she said normally it take 5 weeks max i don't know why yours took long and now it's almost 3 months we didn't get any reply.

8 months isn't abnormal, but if your rep will not share anything with you, it's hard to say. Have you considered firing them? Have you checked ecas? Have you ordered GCMS notes? There are a lot of actions that can be taken.

no! how to check ecas n order GCMS? can ou guide coz we don't have our case number as well. and firing rep at this stage won't change anything coz now everything is in VO hands i think.

This is incorrect. If your rep is sharing nothing with you, they could be requesting additional documentation or proofs that you would have no idea about. That could jeopardize the application.

If they won't even give you basic information like your file or UCI, I would fire them. You need to be aware of what's going on with your application.

You're not going to be able to check ecas without the file number or uci. Are you inside Canada? Have you tried calling CIC to find out if they can give you that information?

i asked my husband to have a meet with the rep and he said that when he asked her about confirmation she has showed him something on CIC that this is your ID n it was showing it's under process, but visa office wasn't mentioned at all only processing. so my question is that does it means he is still not approved as Sponsor after 8 months? if so then why the rep ask for the visa office address which i won't change until next steps are done. it's really confusing n stressing.

My Sister want to sponsor her husband so
I need some help to fill the Generic Application Form for Canada,
my first question is what should he write in no.3 * how many family members, including you, are in this application. they are married two month ago so he should write two including his wife, she is already a permanent resident and sponsoring him.

and 2nd questions is he should write her details in a dependent or not ?

and last question is in no. 11 will accompany principal applicant to Canada what should he write about her because she is already in Canada

I really appreciate your help.
