I received a passport request letter . And the part where height and eye color was requested is confusing to me. Am I supposed to print the whole letter and hand fill the required part?

I hope someone can help me here.. I am a CEC Express entry applicant my file is in process with outland dependant from Aug 2020. My husband applied for a spousal open work permit he got his work permit approved today. He works in US and has a canadian visitors visa TRV already.

Can he enter Canada with his
- passport,
- the approval letter of work permit
- our marriage certificate
- visitors visa which he already has?

or we need to apply for a new TRV for him? Please if anyone can help here would be great!
I tried calling CIC but they didn't say anything just we don't know and borders are closed

Use the same TRV and work permit and he will be fine

Phew thanks that makes sense. I was worried for a second that why would they indicate oct 2019 officially.

Their measure that used to be was 80% of files completed in 12 months. In covid that has fallen much behind.

The date they are showing (we are completing most files submitted such and such a date) seems to use this same '80% completed'. (The other 20% are deemed 'complex')

But even before covid a lot of files were done in less than 12 months, and they are catching up. It's also a lagging indicator as will not tell hyou anything about how long files are taking that are much more recent

Hello, my husband is from Vietnam. This is our timeline so far and we're stuck at the part where they need to move our application to a South East Asian visa office, the waiting seems forever. Does someone have any advice or know whether how long does this step take?

• Application delivered: 31 Mar 2021
• AOR 1: 6 May
• SA: 7 May
• PA's ECAS PRAS says In Process: 14 May
• Biometrics requested: 6 May
• Biometrics given: 11 May
• Medical requested: 24 June
• Invitation to pre-arrival services: 24 June
• Medical exam: 28 June
• Medical passed: 01 July

So it has been almost one month since there is any new update on our application. Is this normal for the Visa Office step? I looked at the tracker for Outland Mar like me and most people already have their application moved. Does anyone know how long does it take when PA is from Vietnam, and what is the longest time so far waiting for the application to be moved?
Also does pre-arrival services equal with Pre-arrival letter in the tracker column? IF so then what does that mean that I receive it since I see most applications receive it only after their application is moved? Thanks guys!

It's all moving reasonably quickly. Relax. Sometimes the visa office bit moves in mysterious ways.

Just asking what if you already submitted the application then suddenly form git update? is there any grace time for the not updated form? and how long?

No specifics known, but yes, they generally SEEM to accept the previous version. And most of the updated form types are fairly small (ie. if there was some big change they would likely specify).

If it was updated after you submitted / mailed, don't worry about it. In practice the grace period seems to be at least 90 days if not more like six months.

You need be physically present in Canada as a Permanent Resident. Unless you are a CiTIZEN you can apply from outside Canada.

Hi all. I used to be quite active here back then, and haven't posted in a while. Got two questions for my spousal sponsorship PR application. We got married back in April 2021 and we are about to submit her PR application by this weekend latest.
Q1) Her PGWP expires early March 2022. Would it be more recommended for her to submit her OWP together with the PR application? Or just apply for the OWP few weeks before the PGWP expiry?
Q2) She is interested in becoming a realtor here in BC. According to recbc.ca, the course offered would be flexible and self‐paced blending one. Would it be possible for her to take this course part-time while working once she got her OWP? Or does she need to wait for the PR landing first?
