Also me and my husband wanted to update our contact info like ph numbers, adresses etc. but as the application number still seem to say:-

(We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:........) and the CIC telephone officers do not accpet the request either .I was wondering how to get the contact information updated .

Usually it ll take from a few days to a few weeks before your file gets shown up on ecas online. When you can access it online, you can change your contact info there.

Help!

So I called CIC just now to ask about the DM I received yesterday.. they said that this is just stage 1 and we would have to go through stage 2 and it will take another 10 months?!?!

Does this make sense??

I've been waiting 18 months and adding 10 more months doesn't help... :(

If you've applied Inland, it makes sense.

It really doesn't make sense, but tink23 is right.

There's a reason why the second stage takes longer for an Outland applicant, because it is during the second stage that the relationship is assessed. For an Inland applicant, the only thing that is supposed to be done in stage 2 is the medical and criminal/background checks, because the relationship is assessed in stage 1.

Hello,
In the e-mail from CIC about SA approval, they mentioned that the file will be moved to the VO. They are asking for my wife to do her medical and for the results to be attached to the letter(SA approval). My wife called the hospital and they told her that she needs to bring the immigration forms with her, and the hospital has no forms! CIC web site states "Note: Panel Physicians have the IMM 1017B – Upfront forms in their office. They should contact their regional medical office for restocking. " Now what?? For those who attached medical results with their application, which forms were used? IMM 1017B is not available on-line as clearly indicated by CIC.. Thanks

I had this question too when I was going through the papers- it's all online now. When my husband went to get his medical done he was given this piece of paper with a barcode on it. There's no IMM form or anything to attach to it. The physician sends it electronically and you send that barcode paper with your application and they will see it in the system. :)

Impossible to say without knowing if you applied inland or outland - and if outland, which visa office.

Hi,

We applied permanent residency for my wife in May 2014 . She is in Canada on work permit . We received a letter in email on February 2015 mentioning the application number .The application number does not provide any update online yet .I wanted to know how long it might take as when we applied the processing time showed was 10 month for first stage but now it has jumped to 18 months.

Apart from that I wanted to know I wanted to visit my back home October 2015 for a month or 1.5 month .My work permit expires in December 2015 .So am I allowed to exit Canada and how long (though me and my husband will be going together) .

Please somebodyyyy help

Thanks in advance .
Regards,

I'm an outland applicant and the file's processing in London

Hi.
I have done my medical and criminal check around 6 weeks ago, waiting for m wife's Option C Printout. I think it will take another two weeks until we will receive the Option C Printout overseas and send the whole package.

Do I have to get a new criminal check document before sending it to CIC (my document will be issued for around 8 weeks by than)?
Thanks.

The criminal records check should be fine. It can't be more than 3 months old by the time CIC receives it.

I'm just wondering if I done a stupid mistake and how to fix this,, i already sent my application in Friday to Mississauga, i sent it using Canada post express, and i required a signature on delivery, now when Im tracking it it showing the following:
"Notice card left indicating where item can be picked up."...

Im note sure if it was wrong for me to require a signature, will CIC pick up my application or will they ignore it ??.. anyone done something similar?...this is the address that i sent it to

You have sent your application to a P.O Box therefore you won't get a signature. They have left a card for cic to come pick it up . I'm sure they go daily.. and yes many people have done the same thing.
