i called and they said that it will not be a problem he can simply bring a copy of his old passport with the COPR and his new passport. Just in case anyone else run i to this problem

Medical received means just that, they have the medical results. It does not tell you anything about the current status of your application.

Where does it say decision made? Under the sponsor portion or the applicant portion? You said that you applied in November, so the decision made is likely for the sponsor, then it gets transferred to the VO. Check the thread for your VO to see what the current trend is in terms of time.

Well check out website properly. It clearly said that medical received means decision made. But anyway i dont need to proove you. Now i will tell u when i will get visa

I am also a NDVO applicant and we applied in Oct and the file got transferred on Feb 4th. If you had applied on Nov then the decision made is for the sponsor and the file has been transferred to the VO. The avg in Delhi seems to be 7-8 months once the file has been received so calculate from the date the AOR2 was received. As mileaway mentioned the medicals received just means the medicals have been received and nothing else about the decision being made on the file

Could I start a sponsorship application for my wife while I am still in China? I could move back to Canada in June and find work immediately (while still searching for more permanent employment).

You can most definitely start the sponsorship process now.

Good to hear. If I don't have a job lined up for June, though, is this likely to delay my application three or more months? Will I need to update my application when I find a job?

(2) Is there any possibility of extending your China job and visa to cover at least part of the waiting time you are likely to suffer even if you apply outland at once from China? If you move to Canada in June it seems to me almost inevitable that you will have to leave your wife and daughter behind until they get their PR status. If you want to be together it must surely be in China for the time being?

My work visa is provided by the university. I could extend it, but I'd have to commit to staying in China through the following school year (June 2016). I could stay in China on a tourist or family visa, but some things are easier for me to do from home (contacting schools, visiting campuses, getting a car, buying baby stuff, etc.), plus I may need to continue working.

What do u think is it good to ask for visitor visa before or after u send family sponsorship - spouse documents to mississauga ? or shoud i wait after my wife gets approved for sponsor and they send to vienna visa office?

It is recommended to apply for visit visa after you have sent your application since in case you are rejected before you apply you will have show that your visit visa was rejected and they will look into that.

but is it good to wait aplication to be aproved 1st in missisaqa then they send in vienna, and after to ask for visitor visa or i can immidietly after we send app in missisaqa

Thank you for this, Leon. This answered a couple of my questions. I have a question for anyone who can answer. I am not sure how to start a new thread on here, maybe it is not even necessary. I am a Canadian who is in a common law relationship with a Mexican. We have a three year old who was born in Mexico. In the next few weeks we are doing passports (for them), translating of documents, and things needed to send in for visas. My son does not have his natural citizenship (I am pretty sure it's called?!) and so we will also be sending for that. We will be sending for my son at the same time we send for his father. Since we have been together so long and also have a son, I am not so worried about my partner getting a visa... although I have been in Mexico for the last 6 years and am not positive about the sponsorship part due to my income..
Is there a visa that we can try to get to bring his parents over? Or does my partner need to live in Canada for a certain amount of time before bring them over? We really want to bring his parents as soon as we can. If there is a visa that I can do for his parents at the same time as him, could someone please let me know. We plan on moving there once my partner is finished his studies. We would love if his parents could come at the same time.
I am new to this site and am not sure if I will be notified about a response, so if you could please PM me here... that might be better? I am not good with these threads, still trying to figure it out.

My common law partner is going to sponser me for PR application and we have a question about this conditional PR. we are wondering if it applies to our case.

In CIC website it is mentioned:

"The amendments specify that spouses, common-law or conjugal partners who are in a relationship with their sponsor for two years or less and have no children in common with their sponsor at the time of the sponsorship application are subject to a period of conditional permanent residence."

What does "a relationship less than two years" means here? Does it mean being in a common law relationship (living with him as my partner under the same roof for two years)? Or just knowing each other for two years?

I met my partner on 1st Sep 2013. He was my room-mate. We went into the common law relationship on late DEC 2013 and we have being living together as partner since that time. So now I am wondering if I apply on Sep 2015, will I get an conditional PR or a regular PR?

Can anyone help me with this?

-Is there a way to just send my notice of last assesment that I have (2012-2013), my current pay stubs within the last year, and last T4 while I wait for my Option C to come in the mail? Then mail it to them when it comes, or will this complicate things? I am living in the uk and am a bit worried that it will take ages to revieve my option c from Canada. Any advice???

Yes, it applies to married couples as well. If you are married less than 2 years and do not have kids, then you would get condition 51 on your COPR.

I would send all those, and the Option C. it should arrive within 10 business days (it took that for me about 1 month ago)
if you do not send the option C, make sure you write a letter of explaination as of why you didnt send it.

if you don't send it, they could send the app back as incomplete, as this document is required.
