I understand that lying is not an option for me. But what i am trying to say is that should I wait to get my PR and then get married or should I get married sooner and update my status with the canadian immigration Ottawa office(where my application is in process). which might prolong my application processing time I presume.
My application was already approved from PNP Ontario office. Now I have applied to the federal government(CIC).

I understand. I don't know the answer. I've heard a few months, but that's just things I've heard. Could be wrong.

If you get the visa before you are married, you can hold on to it and land when you're ready.

Quick question guys,

Applying inland and I haven't done medical yet. Is it ok to send the application in without the medical? would it be a problem?

and I dont have any police certificates/clearances because I've only lived in Canada since I turned 18.

Its my understanding that CIC's policy is to send in only complete applications. If they are incomplete they can be returned to you.

and the application would be incomplete without the medical? Is it a requirement to send the proof in with the application?

because the checklist says:

Proof of medical examination (If you do not hold a valid Medical Report, Instructions will be given to you when you receive your notice of eligibility)

I'm confused =(

A valid medical is one that hasn't expired.

With my wife's application they did not begin to process it before her medical expired so they sent her a letter informing her to get another one. That is what that instruction is referring to.

Although I'm applying through inland, does that change anything regarding medicals?

I will not send my application in if medicals will be a problem. will have to delay it. and I don't want to delay it.

Delay it now or have the possibility of having your application returned. Best advice is to get all the supporting documentation completed with your application.
Your choice.

You can wait for medical request for Inland Sponsorship. It's okay. As already mentioned, though, it can delay the application.

so If I mail my application in tomorrow and book my medical and have it done this week and send the proof right after it should be fine? I do have UCI already.

If it can be done, I dont want to delay sending in the application, I have to mail it in ASAP.

I believe the procedure if you don't include is to wait for the request. The reason people don't include it with Inland is so it doesn't expire during processing. Medicals are valid for 12 months. Inland is 14 months.

You may get lucky and have your medical extended. You may have to re-do it at 13 months. It's a gamble. No one can tell you the right thing to do, just what worked for some, but not others.

Do the medical when you want. It's a roll of the dice either way.

You received one but you are coming from the States. I guess I should have been more specific. Do you know if anyone from a non-exempt VO has had a medical extension? If so what were the conditions that allowed for it?
