The website is misleading. If you're in Canada, you can always choose the outland route, and it's usually best to do so. This is the application kit you need:Tzarina said:There is something I don't understand. When I sat down to the forms, I saw that if I reside here, I should choose the In-Canada application. But that does not seem to mean that my application has to be processed in Canada. I can be legally in Canada and still have my documents processed in my home country. That does not mean I am doing an Outland process. That's what I was also told yesterday.
Now I am totally confused, as Outland seem to need some other documents than I prepare.
At CPC-Mississauga (in Canada) the process the sponsorship portion of the application. At the overseas embassy they process the PR portion. The sponsorship portion only assesses his eligibility to sponsor, it does not assess your relationship, or your admissibility. It is usually doubts about the relationship that lead to an interview - and that part is assessed overseas.Tzarina said:Another thing that does not seem right, but I may just not understand it:
if I am in Canada and we decide for Outland, he still has to be approved as a sponsor in Canada (that's what they told me on the info line). Then how come the other visa office is eligible to undermine that decision and ask for another interview? Or maybe I am getting it wrong?
lissom said:Hello everybody,
I mailed my application to Vegreville in the end of July 2010 and when I track the package it shows August 3d as a delivery date. I haven't heard anything from Vegreville yet. Does anybody experienced think I need to be concearned about it? Do they even send any notifications when they get the application? I was thinking about calling them but don't know what phone number I should try.
Any help will be very much appriciated.
