My husband has applied for my PR in Jan 2019. Medical, Police verification, bio metrics is done. After medical results received there is no update on the website. Received Pre-arrival services email on 15th August 2019, What does this mean? Is the PR approved? What will be next step? By when can I receive Visa.

It would be great if anyone could update me on this.

On this forum I read it means that they believe your relation is genuine and probably won’t have interview... but they still have background check to do. What visa office your file in?

Pre arrival mean you passed eligibility and no interview for you . But cic still search your background and criminally before issue COPR AND VISA

Hi there!

For money remittance, I'm not sure if 1 remittance receipt would be enough. For us, even before we got married, he was sending money to me to pay for our Car loan that was in my name and also for our church wedding expenses. Maybe what you can do is inquire for insurance or if your husband can send you money remittances every cut off. That's what my husband did since 2017 until now (twice a month).

-For the proof of contact, we chose the first convo we had last 2013 when we became bf/gf then next 2014, 2015, and so on, so forth until recently when he went back to canada after our civil wedding. Make sure to choose sweet messages or conversations that talk about being together soon. Something like that.
We haven't used call logs in our application but I think you can include this as additional proof. You may refer to the checklist if they indicated call logs as part of proof of contact. I dont have a copy now so you can double check.

Remittance: It's just been 2 months since we got married and my husband does not need to send me any money or vice versa as we are earning quite well independently. The only remittance proof that I have is of our shared wedding expenses where I too contributed. Before marriage, when I was in India I did remit money to him for expenses like mobile recharge, internet recharge. travel expenses of visiting each other etc. Unfortunately, I no longer have that Bank account active so cant get statement. Unless I show it in his bank statement but how can the immigration officer then cross verify its me who sent him that money?

My husband has added me on his employee insurance benefit so maybe I will add this proof also.

Proof of Contact: I wonder why they ask for such private conversation?! People who want to fake it can fake it anyway and people who are genuine why should their privacy be violated in such a manner?! Yes, they accept call logs.

i applied for my wife who is living in India. i have applied under family sponsorship. file was received on July 20, 2019. i got application number on August 8th, 2019. and yesterday i got 3 emails from CIC stating that i met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor, and 2nd one was for biometrics collection IMM 5756 and 3rd was for medical IMM 1017. my wife is going to do medical and biometrics on monday.
and when i check application status is shows "under Process" and "medical instructions sent".
I am just wondering how long its going to take now for Passport request? can anyone please help me out regarding this? Thanks very much

It depends on sooooo many things...particularly what VO you get transferred to. Hope for Mississauga and you could have her here in 5 months. Closer to 10 months likely most anywhere else.

You will need to look at the various options on the IRCC site. We don't know what your situation is. Refugee, family sponsorship, etc. Once you figure it out, search forums relevant to your situation.

Nothing is approved until you get Decision Made. Prearrival indicates your eligibility is approved which is great news. If nothing comes up in criminality and BGC you'll be approved but that could be weeks or months away. You're closer than some of us so be patient.

Anybody knows that how long CIC will take time after Medical in spous visa?

It Is helpful to include your timeline and VO to get good estimates. It's impossible to say otherwise.

I don't know how long this will take but it's just a formality. Many people say it's painless and quick. Search landing interview for more.

What purpose does the mississauga CPC serve? My application is at the manila VO. Will my application stay in manila? Or eventually end up in mississauga ?
