I had a quick question about the Option C Printout. From 1998 - 2003 I attended college in the US and then I started working in Texas after graduation until November of 2011. In November I moved back to Canada and have been working here for the past 3 months.

Would I still need to request this document, as my last Notice of Assessment for Canada would have been either back when I was in College or even before that (high school). Or should I go the letter route, and include my W2's from previous years of work in the United States?

Thanks in advance!

Use the letter route, since it is more recent and more indicative of your current income.

how long Abu Dhabi take time in sponsorship processing
Processing time for Abu Dhabi is 27 months based on how long it took to complete 80% of applications.

1. No.

2. Must be submitted WITH application.
Thanks, as for #2 - I have heard conflicting responses to submitting your aplication without the Medican Exam and the FBI Background check. Because they are merely focused on the Sponsor in the beggining of the process, would it be okay to send the information at a later date or will the entire package be rejected right away because it is missing information?

You can submit without the FBI certificate but with proof that you applied for it and are awaiting the result. Your package will be returned without a valid medical, that MUST be enclosed.

Expert advice for Lima (TVR and Spousal to follow)

My Peruvian fiancé and I met in 2009 working together onboard a cruise ship. He continues to work on a contract basis 6 months on and 2 months off. **** Provided he can get a Visitor`s Visa, We plan to get married in Canada this summer. He recently applied for a Multiple Entrance Visa to begin Sept 2012 (with a special letter and reasoning to show he was going to be working until August and wanted to start off his vacation right away). He showed Flights and his upcoming ship contract showing he was going to start Feb. He had bank records to show how much he makes on the ship or had his last contract... however.. his account was nearly depleted now. He stated he would have $8000 to bring for his travel to Canada. The Multiple Entrance Visa was denied because he could not show that he had that money in his account as of yet.

 • What is considered the correct amount of money to bring for a 2- 3 week vacation when no accommodation is necessary?
 • Does too much money look like you might try to stay?

These are our thoughts:
Buy a 2-3 week plane ticket and submit receipt of travel insurance.
Apply again for MEV at the beginning of August 2012 (best choice so he can still work and come back on a valid visa while we await PR).
 • One concern - I am worried at the strength of his MEV application as he plans to extend his vacation time from the ship and may not have proof of his next contract as of August. Will that be a huge hindrance?

On the positive – Post MEV denial He has legally inherited 5% of a relatives business. Good to show equity and economic ties to Peru? Or leave it out of the application.

If he is denied he will apply again for a single entrance visa.

After that we would hopefully fly back to Canada Aug 22-23ish.
Get married within the 2-3 weeks, apply to extend his visa and start the sponsorship process.

IF denied on both visas - We would get married in Lima.
 • Are there setbacks to doing it this way?
I would come back to Canada and apply outland... or inland if we`d rather just be together....
Currently for Lima... Outland is 74days plus 13 months .. Inland is 22 months

Do you know at which stage do they normally return the package without a valid medical please?

For my case, I overlooked and only realised that medical/FBI need to be submitted together with the application until the day before I had to flying out of the country for several months. So I took the risk sending my application without medical/FBI. Now my application is at visa office (sponsorship approved, "application received" at visa office), and I'm catching up with my medical/FBI now.

PS: If I have known about this forum earlier I would have done a better preparation.

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum so not sure which is the best place for intro and background.

I will be applying for my wife's sponsorship (outland) in Feb 2012. I have collected all supporting documents, filled out forms, wedding photos, medical, and a detailed story about our relationship for the CIC. Currently, these documents are being reviewed by my lawyer who would be forwarding on to the CIC. I am from India so New Delhi Office would be processing the application for PR. I just wanted to know if there are others who have filed in Jan 2012 or are in the process of filing in Feb 2012 for outland applications. Maybe we can keep in touch and update each other on the progress. I am very bummed about the CIC Mississauga's average processing time (68 days) only to review my sponsorship part? Is that really how long it takes or its just an average. Our file is as strong as can be. So I am not anticipating unreasonable delays from New Delhi. Please let me know the timeline I should be hoping for! I am very very happy that there is a community of people undergoing the same process sharing information here! keep up the good work guys!
Hello O-Zone,

Looks like we both applied more or less same time, I applied sponsorship application in Jan2012 and its been three weeks not yet heard anything from CIC. I guess it take few more days for me to expect Acknowledgement from CIC...I dont think it takes 68 days for the first letter we both expecting, it should be there in max 3 weeks if lucky or else add more 1week worst case. I wonder how much time does it takes to process when the application sent to Newdelhi. Let hope for best, let me know if you receive letter from CIC?

Hi O-Zone & nanipanjakadi

In this forum there is a thread "January 2012 Applicants - Join here!", may be you'd like to check that out too?

Yes, photos (pr size) are always stamped with the date at least, so CIC knows when they were taken. They can't be older than certain time.

Since you already got your AOR you don't have to worry about app returned to you. It would have been done at the beginning.
