Will this look a bad thing to CIC if contact MP? Does it cost something?scylla said:Member of Parliament. They can inquire about status. They cannot speed up processing or change a decision.
Wow! Your processing was fast! Hopefully mine will be this fast as well hehe. I'm a March applicant with AOR1 on hand. You can now focus on prepping your move Goodluck and Godblessprvc said:Hello, everyone! Just want to say thank you to all of you for answering all my questions when I was still putting my application together and when I was waiting for approval. With all of your help and the valuable information I found from this forum, my visa was approved in 4 months and 2 weeks with no additional document request. Thank you, everyone!
Big thanks to all seniors!! You guys rock!
It doesn't cost anything. How helpful the MP is really varies from person to person. Note there's really no point contacting your MP unless you're over the processing time listed on the CIC web site. Looks like you applied inland - so if you've been waiting for over two years, MP inquiry might be helpful. Otherwise it won't be.kristiina89 said:Will this look a bad thing to CIC if contact MP? thank you in advance
thank you iamhayer. but i dont have AOR right now. what if they returned my application before may 2.iamhayer said:I dont think you need to apply for TRV right now, wait for your OWP which will take approx 4 months and then you can apply for TRV only if you have plans to leave Canada for some days. You have implied status so you will not be illegal after May 2.
Hi Seniors i have a question. I am applying for my wife`s PR and i had question about the wedding pictures do we have to write about who is who in the picture at the back also ? i just wrote about the occasion and generally on which occasion was the picture taken. Do we need to add more information as well??? do let me know about thatTANMEX said:Hey ,
Q1- you can either write at the back of the picture , or organize them in Microsoft Word and add text below each picture .
Q2 -Doesn't matter how you arrange them , CP-Mississauga will re-arrange them , but it make sense to put the forms together according to the check list and then evidence together right after that.

I called the head office for SIN's and they said sometimes if your account gets flagged or there are system issues then you have to wait for CIC to confirm with the head office and confirm you're good and it takes 5 weeks. Kinda sucks, wanted to get started on obtaining a car, credit, etc... but at least I was able to land and move. They said all new immigrants over the last month or so have been having to do it this way, I bet it has to do with the new immigration forms and stuff...
Best wishes everyone
