Hmm. Hadn't thought of that. I never had to submit anything myself.

Compared to what the new kit wants, we didn't have a lot either really. That's why I was curious. We've been married less than a year and together as a couple less than two (though knew each other way longer). We didn't include any letters either, with the exception of one from my husband's parents but that was less about proof of relationship and more proof we would have a place to stay after I landed and we started to get settled. I did provide a lot of the social media stuff up front, we provided a long description of the development of our relationship, and then pretty much what ended up being a chronology of our relationship between when we got together and the point we applied, with the social media posts, receipts, tickets for travel, movie ticket stubs, credit card statements showing purchases when we were traveling, proof of financial support, and a sampling of chat logs.

Neither of us really likes being photographed, so we don't have too many couple photos, although I did push for holiday couple shots because I knew we'd need some pictures of us at a certain point. I gave them those, plus our wedding photos, and I wrote a 4-page letter detailing our relationship, our visiting routine over five years, our wedding, and the story of him getting down on one knee and proposing with a ring in a crowded bus terminal in Detroit. I admit I was a bit lax about providing proof and I was rather hoping the fact that we've been together for five and a half years and married for two and a half would appease them somewhat. But after waiting so long for SA, I'm just so happy to know that someone is actually working on our file. They can ask for anything they want. I don't mind!

There is a file size limit of 4MB per file on myCIC, so if she can submit everything within the file size limit, she'd be fine. I wonder if myCIC will allow her to submit multiple files. I wouldn't know because I haven't done this method myself.

When I uploaded my Schedule A I was only able to submit it once. you can upload it before you submit it, but make sure before you continue and "submit" it's the right file you want to upload

Eeek, this worries me. I have DM on both sponsor and applicant side in ECAS but MyCIC still show's Background Check in progress. I hope they don't ask for more information :S

I have decision made as sponsor. They just started working on my husband's file. He's in process. I doubt they'll ask you for anything else at this point.

Oh sponsor is DM, gotcha. Had me worried for a second! I figured after DM is made on both sides they wouldn't ask for anything else, probably just waiting for a new patch of PPR's to go though. I'm hoping in a couple weeks. It's almost surreal it's finally happening, I wish you the best! I find it strange they requested more proof. My wife and I had photos of us together with friends and family throughout the years (but lots of selfies together too), and wedding pics. We didn't have a document where we both shared bills because we are not common law so we provided a notarized letter from my parents explaining our relationship and how we met, when they met Tess, the circumstances of our wedding, who was all there, etc. I also provided some FB chats and proof of my wife as my beneficiary on my 401k/stocks account. We also wrote a big page about how we met, how often we see each other, etc.

Hopefully that gives you an idea of what else you could provide.

Even email attachment? That's great if you submitted everything upfront. Maybe you probably know this but for email attachment, the file size limit is 2MB per file.

Yeah. I wasn't asked for anything during the process at all. The only communication we had with IRCC was initiated by us, just after sponsor approval, because we knew we had it based on what we saw on MyCIC but we wanted the actual e-mail for when we were crossing the border for visits.

While waiting without actually having any communication (aside from AOR1 and the SA e-mail) was difficult, I don't envy people using the new kit who have to worry about providing things along with the frustration of having to link the account. I wouldn't have wanted that kind of stress.

Totally get that. Knowing they're working on the file is definitely a good thing. Bus terminal at Detroit? As in Greyhound? If so, I've crossed through there too many times in the last year. Glad I won't have to do it again in the foreseeable future.

I just received my Quebec Selection approval in 1 month only after I applied Does this let me have a medical coverage ?

Do you have a working permit?
If not, then no, not until you get AIP

Thank you for your reply. Good to know. I checked it and it showed DM on a Sunday, March 12th...it was odd I figure they probably didn't work on Sunday's because Saturday it showed In Progress (I check daily haha). I'll keep ya'll posted. Hoping to hear good news within a week or two!

He actually proposed on Valentine's Day of 2014 and my daughter was disappointed that he just asked me rather matter of factly over morning coffee and there was no ring or romantic story. When I took the bus down to Lower Michigan in June to meet his family and get married, he was supposed to meet me in Ann Arbor. I actually walked right past him at the Detroit terminal because I wasn't expecting him to be there. He got down on one knee in front of everyone, whipped a ring out of his pocket, and proposed again. I was so embarrassed because I hate being the centre of attention, but my daughter and a bunch of strangers now have a romantic story. LOL

Anyone please tell me what all documents are required to submit and if you have the checklist than please forward me. I also got married recently in India and I am a PR. Now I am looking to sponsor my wife.
Also, Regarding PCC, shall I have to get the INDIAN PCC + Canadian PCC in Canada as well as my wife PCC from INDIA? And do I have to get my wife medical done before submitting the file or after submission of sponsor file she will get the request for medical?

I am Indian national + Canadian PR and I am in a category of Outland case for sponsoring wife. She don't have any visa for Canada.

Questions regarding open work permit. i understand that PR application for Inland Spousal sponsorship have an option to include an open work permit with one package send to Mississauga
should i photocopy the work permit and send it also to CPC Vegreville just incase mississauga office misplaced my documents.
