Should I submit my ready old application this December or should I wait for December 15 for a new application?

I think that really depends on your specific circumstances. For me, the needing to wait to get a medical until they ask for it would have been incredibly problematic - It was cheaper for my daughter and I to get ours upfront, combined, in Canada while visiting my husband for a month, than it would be for us to get the same exams from a panel physician in the U.S. (less than $300 CAD vs. almost $700 USD). Even ignoring the cost, the closest panel physicians to me are 5+ hours away, which would have necessitated an overnight trip and transportation costs instead of a 20 minute drive from where my husband lives. Given the 30 day window for them asking for medicals under the new system, traveling to Canada on spur of the moment notice to get an exam with a school-age child wouldn't have been a viable option either. I'm glad these changes were announced well after I sent my application in, or I would have been panicking. I was much more comfortable with the concept of having everything ready and sending it in up front rather than sending in things as they asked for them. You'll have to make the decision based on what makes the most sense for you and your spouse/partner.Lbalcueva said:Should I submit my ready old application this December or should I wait for December 15 for a new application?

No one here knows either. You'll have to wait until the new process is published next week to find out.awahidi said:My wife is applying to sponsor me by the beginning of the year and I just heard today about the new rules. We need to apply from the united states but I still don't know the procedure if I have to send my application directly to mississauga or to the NYC visa office.
