I went 2 lawyers for legal advice. They all suggest me to wait decision on AIP. I called cic many times, they told you can do nothing but wait. Can i apply for judicial review when the case is still processing? i am really afraid they will tear us apart, i cry everyday :'(. so depressed.DohCanada said:Campana specifically says they can't rely solely on a policy manual to justify a decision if it is not supported by the law. Their own policy manual says it too.
I totally understand not wanting to go to court but the being out of status and potentially in trouble with the CIC is pretty awful too. You usually don't have long to apply for judicial review. You might want to consider it. If I was in your shoes I would seriously consider sitting down with a lawyer who knows the judicial review process.
Also, if you don't want to sue the lawyer/consultant who screwed up, why don't you report them to their governing body?
Thank you so much for reply, i really appreciate it!
