Hi,

Could anyone help me please? I arrived in Canada last September 2011. I only got a job last november 2011. Last February 2012, I went home to marry my fiance. Here are my questions:
1. Can I immediately sponsor him?
2. Is there certain number of months that I need to wait before I can sponsor him?
3. Do I need to meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor?
4. Is the notice of assesment from CRA for my 1.5 months in 2011, as well as pay stubs and letter from my employer enough to satisfy the financial requirement?

I`d be grateful to hear your thoughts.

When you arrived in Canada, how did you get here? Are you a PR, or were you on a work visa, or something else?

If you came here as a skilled worker and are now a PR, you should be able to sponsor him now.

There's no minimum income if you are only sponsoring a spouse, but you do need to be able to show that you will be able to support yourselves without relying on welfare.

Thank you Isometry. In what way can we show that we will not rely on welfare? Does he need to provide a show money or something? If yes, how much? I have a work here but my annual income would not exceed the minimum required if I would have to base on the minimum income table.
