Hello! Anyone with same time line or any advice
outland sposual visa
Submitted june 1st 2023
Eligibility, Medical and Biometrics all done
Stuck in back ground verification since april 2024

However i applied for TRV visa and its stuck in background verification since augsut 2023

Ps i have no criminal record or military service. I infact live in germany but from a third wormd country. My wife and i are going crazy

First time I've really read this thread properly. My outland spousal application timelines is in my signature.

Today received CSQ (copy obviously also sent by MIFI to IRCC). The only thing left to complete is my background check, but I'm wondering what the estimated wait is from now on to get COPR? Any ideas?

When we applied in October 2022, the processing time was at 14 months. We have no news yet. We have called and even contacted our MP, none of it was helpful. My wife has had AIP since July 2023 and it has now been a year since background, medical, biometrics and eligibility have be all marked as completed in the tracker. SA came in August 2023. It is absurd.

Anybody receiving Passport requests from spousal sponsorship Outland from Quebec?

what are your timelines? It’s been 4 months since my application. Biometrics, medicals, CSQ all approved. Background check in progress and eligibility not started.

Well I applied originally (with IRCC) end of February 2024. Applied for the Quebec side of things end of May 2024. Received CSQ in August 2024. Since then my application has been stuck in Background check, although I do now have a 2 year spousal work permit based on the success of my original application.

We have struggled with MIFI. Their first issue contradicted the instructions, but ofc we'll do whatever they need. The second issue was our mistake on a question. And working only in paper with the Canada Post backed up is not ideal. But hopefully everything is order and will be sorted soon!

By current processing estimates from the IRCC, the SOWP would've been finished in December. I send in a webmail about being over processing estimates and they replied with an email that serves as an interim work permit extension, but it was an initial work permit app, not an extension, so doesn't do much for us. I'm curious if they're waiting on Quebec tbh, even though officially you don't need your CSQ for the work permit.
