Spousal sponsorship: time from mailing to getting receipt of acceptance

Hi all,

Can anyone help me with a simple question?

I am trying to find out how long it takes from the mailing of the application for an inland spousal sponsorship to the very first receipt from CIC showing that the application has been received.

Is this the AOR1 on the spreadsheet?

I want to know if this means that by average, it takes CIC 2 months to update online or send the first email telling the applicant that the application is received. This information would be very helpful for me to arrange insurance for my wife.

Its AOR1, and yes, the time period on the spreadsheet is correct , it takes 2-3 months.

You may get AOR1 earlier than 2-3 months after sending the application. It took a month for us to receive AOR1, and another month from that to receive SA. But some people never receive AOR1, just SA.

OP has applied inland - not outland.
