Spousal Sponsorship stuck in medical check

Hi members,
I guess I am adding myself to the list of frustrated spouses by sharing details:

Applied in January 2018
Additional Documents requested in March,
But they sent the request to wrong country
Finally got everything sorted in June 2018
Medical and Police checks received July 2018
No progress after that
I have sent an inquiry through a web form last week, but won’t hear back for at least a few weeks. Call center says file is complete pending review with CPC is that No

Most straight forward Outland Spousal Sponsorship follow these process steps (the order of the steps may vary)

1. Application received at IRCC
   
2. IRCC start processing application
3. Receive Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR 1)
4. Link Application to Online Account
5. Upload Schedule A form
6. Sponsor Approval and File transfer to VO
7. VO starts processing PR application (AOR 2)
8. Receive Request for Medical Exam
9. Medical Exam @ IRCC Panel Physician Clinic
10. Medical Exam Result
11. Passport Request (PPR)
12. Pick-up Permanent Residency Visa (PUM)

Spousal sponsorship process completion time varies depending on the Visa Office and on a case basis.......will advice you assume process completion takes 12 months to help reduce the waiting stress.......relax.....its a wait game.

I got the confirmation that the file is sent to VO for further processing. We did medical checks in July this year. Safe to assume they won’t delay it long enough to need a second med check?

A second medical will not be requested. You will get an update soon as you are still within the processing timeframe of 12 months.

Thank you, my wife’s file got transferred over to LVO end of October. End of January we will complete the 12 months timeline. Keeping in mind the holidays in December, I guess she won’t get her visa issued before end of January.
