Hello,

What is the current processing time of applications for spousal sponsorship applications ?

I am pakistani national and she is canadian citizen ?

about 16 months if a Canadian Husband is sponsoring Pakistani Wife.
If Canadian Wife is sponsoring Pakistani Husband, then 16+few more months (additional security checks, etc.)

Where did you get this information? There is no proof to validate this discrepancy with sponsoring husband vs. wife.

We can't speak for future.

Currently all Paksitani cases are sent to London Visa office. As per the spreadsheets, they are working on applications received July/August/September of last year. However, there seems to be still some outstanding application from April-June 2014 or some even prior to that.

However, straight forward applications are completed within 10-12 months from the day the application is received in London.

As mentioned before, we can't speak for future, there seems to be a backlog in LVO as well as they are still cleaning Pakistani applications that originally were sent to Islamabad back 2012/2013. God knows what future changes could impact the processing times in general.

2 to 3 months in Mississauga + 12 Months in London = about 15 months (+1 month give/take).

Is your case "in process" on ECAS?

Wishing you soon re-unification with your spouse wife and son.

I myself had my baby son born in Islamabad,Pakistan during the application process. But I am a Canadian Citizen.

It's just a sign they have opened your case file. Although VO's are not reliable for updating ECAS.
