Spousal Sponsorship - PHILIPPINES ( TIMELINE: starting July 2014)

Hi po. Sorry if medyo off topic.

Ask lang po if kailangan po ba sundin talaga yung 10 days marriage banns posting before you could get married? Kasi my boyfriend (Filipino) is a permanent resident in Canada and we are planning to get married (civil lang) when he comes home this December. He'll arrive Dec 19. Alis na sya uli ng January 3 balik Canada. He'll be staying here sa PH for 16 days lang. His stay here is limited kasi he has work there.

Problem namin ang daming holidays this december. So working days here are limited.

I would just like to ask kung meron na ba dito couple na hindi sumunod sa 10 days posting? Kasi dba you have to wait for 10 days para ma-release ang marriage license nyo then saka lang kayo pwde magpakasal. I've read na pwde ma-rush ito with the help of fixers. Pero ayoko kasi magpatulong sa fixers as much as possible.

Let's say, if we wont follow the 10 days posting rule, will this be traced by the Canadian Embassy pag nag apply na kami for sponsorship? Baka kasi ma-apektohan ang sponsorship application namin if they trace any irregularities in our civil wedding. I know they'll look at my boyfriend's passport to know kung tugma ang point of entry sa dates ng pagprocess ng marriage license, etc.

And yung 10 days posting, included ba sa bilang ang weekends? Or should it be 10 WORKING days (mon-fri)?

Hope you guys can help me. As much as possible gusto ko talaga dumaan sa tamang proseso.

I've researched na pero iba-iba ang nakikita kong sagot. Baka meron nang couples dito sa forum who've had a similar situation as ours.

pero pwede mu naman i.try pumunta sa civil registrar., ask mu if pwede ka ba pa.register kahit wala c fiancee., tanong ka sa kanila., baka pwede nila i.register basta meron ka lahat ng requirements., like Birth certificate and cenomar ., sa Civil Registrar ka punta., wag sa mga fixers.,

Actually I went to City hall and explained to the girl staff at the window yung situation namin ng boyfriend ko.. Sabi niya possible daw pero syempre may padulas yun.. Humirit sya "basta dalahan nyo kami ng chocolate ha".. Take note. Staff ng LCR ang nagsabi nito.

Eto raw gagawin namin:
Dec 18 pagkarating ng boyfriend ko didirecho na kami sa cityhall to submit cenomar, birth certificate and fill out the application forms. Same day na rin kami attend ng family planning seminar. By Dec 29 or 30 daw irerelease na nila ang marriage license namin. That's 10 days na pag included ang weekends (sat and sun) sa bilang. They can refer us to someone who can officate our wedding rites on Dec 29.

Pwede ba to mga sis? Kung dec 18 application tapos dec 30 ang release ng license, that's 10 days naman pag included ang weekends sa bilang..

Or dapat ba 10 WORKING DAYS?

We're still gonna wait for 10 days before we grt married. Are we breaking any rules/law sa gagawin namin?

They wont track ur marriage license, they will check your NSO marriage contract and advisory on marriage. That's what counts the most. and the credibility of your relationship..dumami kasi ang " i love you Canada" kaya super higpit sila sa verification..may nahuli na last year ng marriage fraud fined 100k$ yung sponsor 6 months prison at yung babae deported . huwag ka masyado magworry sa license. basta credible yung NSO docs.

Ikaw mismo ang pupunta sa PDOS, they won't invite you..mandatory yun eh..so just go to website of cfo.gov para malaman mo requirements and go there for the pdos seminar and cfo sticker.
