Any one plz...

3rd is very important. I forgot to pay 150 dollar for may 8 month old baby and they sent my application back. So yeah do pay the dependent child fee. I also payed Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490.00. I think it is not compulsory to pay it right now and they will ask you to pay it later but people recommend that you pay it before to avoid delays later on in the process.

Have u tried doing like this,

How to link your application to your MyCIC account

Step 1: Go to the following link:

cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/link.asp

Step 2: Go down to and click on Continue to GCKey

Step 3: Login if you already have an account, if not sign up to the right

Step 4: Once you're logged in, go down to where it says link an existing application

Step 5: For the information, you're going to enter the PA's info (your sponsored spouse)

-Choose file number and family name, enter your file number(F000XXXXXX) and the family name of your sponsored spouse
-Then enter your sponsored spouse's place of birth, country, etc. Leave the passport info and the rest blank

Note: For members, you write 2 (your spouse and yourself), if you have no other dependants.

Then search for the application at the bottom and it should find your application. Once found, link your application and that should take you to the main page, where you can view submitted applications - check status and messages.

HKR, thanks for giving me all this information. I tried linking it today, I was doing it completely wrong yesterday; however, for me it worked with entering family name and birth date rather then file number. But I got in, and now I have two places to log into day and night!

Now if you can explain what all this means, that would be awesome.

Application/profile status: Open
Review in eligibility: Review in process
Review of medical results: Passed
Review of submitted documents: (blank)
Scheduling and interview: Not needed at this time
A background check is needed: Not started
Final decision: Not started

Haven't seen my husband in 7 months... It really sucks! But chances of getting a TRV are very rare.. Not trying to upset u but what I have seen in all these forums is that people apply for TRV and they reject :/

Well same happened to my friend (that misprinting thing) but you don't need to worry about the SA and its not goingto extend your case.. some people get their SA very soon and others get it late but now your file is in LVO so it's now a different story!
I hope this will help keeping you calm! :)

Thanks for your soothing reply..
Can u let me know ur friends timeline
I wanted to see the late SA and in process might to due to the misprint of ottawa and maybe file came from ottawa to lvo thats why its late?
Maybe or maybe not
Ur friends timeline can tell me if these in process and SA dates are late bcz of this ottawa thingy

I hope u get what i mean

Who knows maybe you are right that could be one reason... Her application was sent on November and she got her SA in first week of march I guess.. She got her document request last month I guess which was normal for a Nov applicant so yeah u don't really need to get stressed over it :)

I read somewhere on forum that we need to supply 9 passport sized photos but in the Pakistan specific guide it asks for only 2. What is required for the number of passport photos?
You need to send 9 Photos. See the screenshot below. Keep in mind they're not passport size photos. Take print out of required dimensions and give it to the photographer. Explain to him that photo should be 50mm in width and 70mm in height and height of the face measures between 31mm to 36mm. Also when you tell the studio guys that you want to go to canada they're like yes we know the photo size but the photo size they know is of canadian visit visa. For PR application photograph size is different than visit visa and should be 50mm in width and 70mm in height.

why are you wish to apply TRV (Temporary Resident Visa) instead of sponsorship of spouse for permanent residence?
