I'm in the exact same situation right now too. Every morning I wake up, thinking we might be able to crack the LVO code. Regardless of vacation time, it's hard to believe that they wouldn't plan out the back-ups along with a strategy to keep the conveyor belt of applications moving. I'm sure someone must question them or get them to project the monthly applications completed by the month etc. There has to be some accountability somewhere.

A friend of mine had her hubby's PPR with landing on July 30th. They had applied in May 2015.

july 2016, right? so that's like 14 months. i'd be happy with that too. just goes to show how sad our situation is.

No. Stop. Please. That's what we said for August. Changed it to second last week of August. Then we got super desperate and we started claiming last week of August. When that wasn't enough, we pinned it for the last Friday (today) of the month.

I think we are jinx'ing (quoting Flx here!) ourselves :'(

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Why don't they increase the fee and hire extra staff? Or give 2 options to the applicant and spouse.

1: Same fee and same processing timeline.
2: Double the fee and decrease the timeline from 12 months to 6.

For inland applications in UK they're giving 3 options.
1 Normal app which takes around 2 months.
2 Extra £400-600 fee and visa on same day of your application submission.
3 A lot of fee and they will come at your home will interview you and issue you visa.

I nominate you as the Mayor of CIC. I'm willing to pay for this and more if they deliver what they promise. Money is not an issue when it comes to reuniting with my loved one.

That last hope of getting pprs on friday also sank like titanic..
I can't make any more assumptions as to how this freaking process is going on (guessing its going on actually)
I really need to take a break from this forum
I'm losing my mind
Checking out every ńótification assuming it will "be someone's ppr and things are moving on yeeah"
But unfortunately bad luck and i so feel like crying

Join the club HRH :'( I'm on the brink of quitting everything here and leaving Canada with my baby... but given the situation is so bad in Pakistan (kidnapping of kids), I can't even do that :'(

wow.

first they expedited 25000. then people complained and they expedited 900 more, saying that's enough and the rest have to wait till next year... and now people are complaining AGAIN? when are these "refugee sponsors" going to stop b*tching? I wonder if they have any idea what we're going through here.

Exactely. Thats what my point is. But refugee case is political point scoring while family sponsorship is not.

so they finally published some numbers for Q2 2016. these are PR admissions for pakistani applicants by recent quarters (source):

Q1 2015: 2,226
Q2 2015: 3,105
Q3 2015: 3,368
Q4 2015: 2,631

Q1 2016: 2,837
Q2 2016: 3,651

does Q1 begin in January? i thought they'd be going by the govt fiscal year which starts April 1st of each year, but that can't be right, because then Q2 would include data for September which they don't have yet.

oh and i'm at the 9 month mark now... with zero progress on my file. i was looking at the NDVO thread just now and i'm pretty sure that VO processes the same volume of apps as LVO, yet they're currently sending out PPRs to March/April 2016 applicants. same with Singapore, they've gotten around to reviewing February 2016 applicants. what the **** LVO? what in gods name happened to those people after June? feel like ripping my hair out.

I don't believe these numbers! The wait times and numbers have clearly regressed, at least on the spousal sponsorship side.

Does anyone know how Pakistani PR applicants from other categories are faring? Could it be that LVO took a backseat on spousal applications and processed more economic/refugee/investor class applicants? There's absolutely no other way to explain this!
